We were so glad we did this...a self guided tour of the `experience' with a `free' cocktail at the end served in their own cocktail bar..you also get te chance to taste 2 free samples (and can buy extra cocktals for 5 euros each)

Looking for leisure amongst museums? Take a break over here. For €15 you get an alcohol museum, a free cocktail and a cocktail workshop. Great value and great fun. Who knew Amsterdam was not only the city of beer, but also the city of cocktails.....

My fiance and I visited here after the Heineken Experience, and I wasn't expecting too much from some of the reviews on here, but it was well worth the visit. It was quite unique do to being able to smell lots of things, and feel/smell some ingredients, and at the end of the tour you got to choose a cocktail... More

We were there in June, the weather was great and so was this attraction. The house of Bols is across the road from the Van Gogh museum. We spent the morning at the museum and at noon we experienced the House of Bols. The staff was excellent, helping us track down friends in Amsterdam. There is a history lesson, Rembrandt... More

This is a must if going to Amsterdam. We spent a whole morning in there & could have stayed longer, would defiantly return. Cocktails are amazing in smell, taste & look.

We went on 30th November 2012. Had a lot of fun, the walk-around part is interesting and invigorates your senses with things to touch, taste, smell while reading and watching things related to Bols as a company. The walk around bit was a bit short I suppose, but interesting enough. Then you can pick a Cocktail from a large selection... More

Myself and my fiancé decided to take a look round here for the free cocktails and shots to be honest! It was great fun though and have already recommended to a Hen & Stag party going in the next couple of months!

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
