Stunning cocktails

Great little tour with some unusual exhibits, loved the cocktails at the end and I plan on making some for my next party. Well worth a visit!

This place is so amazing. It is a self guided tour around the museum, where you find out about the history. This was very interesting and I learnt a lot. At the end of the tour you get a cocktail. The cocktails we picked was amazing and would recommend the passion goes sour. If you wanted extra cocktails then you... More

The part I most enjoyed was smelling all the different flavours of bols. But honestly not the cheapest of things to do in Amsterdam, the cocktail wasn't anything to shout about. The weird booth thing was also quite strange, don't really get it.

I visited Amsterdam in October for the first time and was impressed with the house of bols. Doesn't take long to walk around and the choice of cocktails is good! Would highly recommend visiting here.

I had a really good time at the House of Bols. I had no idea that that company had such a rich history. The tasting experience in the florescent box was strange but in a good way. I really enjoyed smelling the different Bols and trying to guess the flavours. I was a bit disappointed with the cocktail section at... More

I visited the house of bols after passing it by chance. The museum was very quiet at the time, only another 4 or 5 people in. The museum itself is very dark although this does add to the atmosphere. There is plenty of information within the museum, however I did find some of it long winded. I skipped several stories... More

It's not the cheapest at 16 euros entry but you do get a nice cocktail at the end ;) Was was told it was around an hour but we was done within 45 minutes but it wasn't very busy. I guess it would be a lot longer if it had been busy. I guess if you include the time taken... More

What a wonderful experience! Loved each and every second. It was a very modern self guided tour and I learned a lot of information about the history of Bols and the process of making the drinks. The experience is very visual. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Amsterdam!

I had no idea that Bols had such history. The museum doesn't take particularly long to get around and you get a free cocktail at the end which makes the whole thing value for money. It's a slick, well presented place and I recommend it if you're looking for something a little different in Amsterdam.

At first you get small bottle and audio apparel and instructions how to use what you get. Then you go to tour and see history of how it was done, and you can get smell samples, of all kind of ingredients, then you go to interactive room and drink that small bottle and found out that lights and sound and... Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
