It's a small worthwhile museum on the history of bags and wallets. I found the creativity and craftsmanship very interesting. I liked the beadwork and shoe examples, too. The gift shop was a nice place to pick up a bag for yourself, too. We had a delicious high tea- so Good!

Located in a beautiful house on the canal, every room with purses and bags tells the history of this accessory. Very inspiring for me and also for (future) designers too.

Wasn't really sure what to expect but what an interesting, bizarre collection. Spent a good 90 mins looking round the museum, which is housed in a beautiful old canal house. Well worth a look.

This museum was an excellent change of pace from touring the city and art museums. A treasure! Discovering how handbag and purse styles and fashion changed and was influenced by history was a fun learning experience.

What a pleasant surprise - I visited because I was nearby, and had time, and had a Museumkaart (which pays for admission to about 400 Dutch museums). This wonderful example of canal-side period home has an astonishing and interesting collection of bags and purses spanning medieval to modern. I also enjoyed a pot of tea and scone in their lovely... Loved this museum so much! It has so many handbags, historical pieces as well as modern. They allow non flash photography which is nice. Museumkaart is welcome here. The gift shop was amazing!

I thank the obsessive collectors who gathered these bags together and created this little museum. It presents history from a different and interesting angle. There is more here than I expected and I, not a fascionista... More
