I booked this as the reviews on trip advisor were so good and I wasn't disappointed! Easy to find on the tram from central Amsterdam although the instructions given to get there were easy to follow. Greeted on entry by the riddle masters who were warm and welcoming. Challenge was good fun and we really enjoyed the challenge and when completed the debrief and chat with the hosts was a nice bonus. Thank you again for the experience, I definitely recommend room of Riddles and will make sure I recommend it to anyone I know travelling to Amsterdam.

The 3 of us didn’t know what to expect when we arrived...we even thought the game had started before we met our “Riddle Master” (Violet) because we were at the address of the building...but we couldn’t figure out which number to press in order to ring someone up to get inside the building. There were no signs for “Room of Riddles” listed on the building directory. You see...I screwed up our reservation. Apparently, I accidentally booked it for the wrong Sunday evening...3 weeks ahead to be exact (perhaps one too many “coffee shops” visited). I didn’t realize this “momentary loss of judgement” until we saw a girl walking down the stairs, towards the entrance. Looking like the lost tourists we were, we asked if she knew where the “Room of Riddles” was—and by our chance encounter—this was the moment that Violet saved me from my embarrassment. Even though she could have told us, “too bad, so sad; good night”—she didn’t. In true awesomeness, Violet stayed, setup the room, and let us have our fun night at the “Room of Riddles”. On an added note, this was also the night of the 2014 World Cup final, which she missed out on—for us. Needless to say, Violet single-handedly made our last night in Amsterdam the best one. As for the “Room of Riddles” game, like the others before me mentioned, it was great fun and time really did go by in a flash. We were aiming to beat the record (something like 35 minutes)...haha, we didn’t come close (49 minutes)...but we had a great time trying! (Note: this review has been approved by all 3 of us—so it multiplies by 3!!!)

The Room of Riddles was AMAZING! It was so clever and well thought out...it was such a great ending to our trip. The puzzles were really good and challenging. The couple running the Room of Riddles were so fun and kind and made the experience absolutely wonderful. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in or visiting Amsterdam! It is inexpensive and good for all ages!

One of our favourite excursions in Amsterdam! Without giving much away, the aim of the game is to Is to solve a series of riddles to get out of the room. It was very well thought out and ran seamlessly. Fatima, our riddle master was very friendly and gave us hints when we struggled to find clues. She also recommended some other great attractions in Amsterdam and was in great spirits. I would recommend this to everyone!

My girlfriend & I went here last night (9th November) and loved it. Fairly challenging, but given a few clues along the way, it's a good test of your logical thinking. We managed to get out with just a few minutes to spare! This game is probably best done with a few more people than 2 to aid with finding clues but we just about managed as a couple! Our riddlemaster (Violet) was great and helped us along the way when we needed it. She was especially great after the game giving us a few tips and advice about where to go and what to see in Amsterdam! Well worth a visit if you're interested in something a little different and 'off the beaten track'. Good luck!

We did this on our visit to Amsterdam last weekend. There were 4 of us and none of us had done anything like this before. I had read about it on Tripadvisor and booked it 8 weeks ago, which is just as well as it books out very quickly.
We got the no 2 tram but it was a lot further out of the town than we were expecting. It still only took 20-25 mins though.
We managed to get out of the room after 52minutes- not a record by any means but we had such a laugh! We all said we would love to do one again. I didn't realise how competitive I was and was furious when I heard screaming from the room next door as the 4 Turkish lads got the key out of their safe!
Good fun, definitely recommend!

My friend and I went there on our first night in Amsterdam. We had no idea what to expect and after having a few difficulties finding the building (it actually isn't hard to find) we were very excited what would happen next. Our riddle master had been new in the business so the owner of room of riddles assisted her but she did a great job!!! Before we got into the room she explained us the do's and don'ts of the game and we got less nervous. The game itself was so much fun and definitely something new and different. Afterwards we had a drink and she told us where to go in Amsterdam which was very helpful since we had arrived only a couple of hours before. They also showed us around - I guess we were the last team that evening. I definitley recommed Room of Riddles to everyone who wants to try something new, it is definitely worth it! And the people working there are super nice which is, in my opinion, very important cause you have to trust them quite a bit :)!

Me and my boyfriend booked Room of Riddles to try something new in Amsterdam. We didn't have a clue what to expect since it was out first time doing anything like that! We walked to room of riddles from out hotel it was about a 10min walk away, although trams stop right outside so you can get a tram there if needed. The 2 girls were really friendly and chatty, you get an 1 hour to solve Room of Riddles, so you need to be alert and focused since there's not much time! It was really good fun, we solved it in 49 mins, perfect for couples, families and friends!

The Room of Riddles was hands down the best thing to do in Amsterdam. When I first stumbled on it on Trip Advisor I didn't know what to expect, but it sounded really fun, so I decided I would book a game and surprise my girlfriend. Along with us came two of our friends and needless to say, we had a blast. The hosts were super friendly and the room presented a genuinely interesting challenge. It's not something we've encountered before, but it's definitely something we'd like to encounter again. the riddles were very clever and the theme made the game constantly interesting as we raced against the clock. Overall, my favourite memory from amsterdam
