On a recent trip to Amsterdam, we discovered VIP Tours to arrange some very special visits.
Our travel group of 22 was able to book an early AM tour of the Aalsmeer Flower Market where 60% of the world’s flowers are bought & sold. At Tulip Season, thousands of moving trolleys filled with racks of tulips are viewed from the overhead walkway. Our site guide had worked there and took us into a trading area where we could watch 10 “real time” Dutch auctions (begin high; drop low). 35 million flowers pass through here every day. It is a spectacle to behold.
From the market, we headed to Zaanse Schans for a trip back in time to the early, wooden Dutch houses. Homes saved from demolition are brought in, refurbished and open for viewing. There is baking, chocolate, wooden shoe making – a microcosm of early Dutch life.
We also booked a full afternoon tour of the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh with a special museum guide who flowed through the pictures, the history and the majesty of the Dutch Golden Age. Our group agreed it was a great tour.
I found our tour company owner, Chantal Dettori, in 2020. We had arranged and paid for our tours – then Covid hit, the world stopped. As these were private contracted tours, it was too late for refunds. Chantal told me – Come back and I will do it then. And she did. I cannot say enough about the company and especially Chantal and her assistants and drivers. Chantal has a bubbly personality and spirit, and boy was she on top of everything! We were with an organized group in Amsterdam (see the C&C posting on their website) but also did two days outside of Amsterdam, one to the north and then the south as far down as Bruges. Chantal coordinated these trips per our wishes with a great driver and guide, Ruud (or Rudy as he preferred). I think we kind of pushed the limits of what could be covered in the time allotted, but Chantal and Rudy made it all happen.

Amsterdam VIP Tours is a professionally run service with a goal of providing the best "Amsterdam Experience" possible. The owner who I've known now for ten years is a personable, extremely knowledgable and capable individual who will listen carefully to what your interests are and will then build your experience to meet your needs. Chan Tel has worked as a caterer and guide for over ten years now and has a wealth of practical contacts. I have visited her in Amsterdam and she has visited our home here in Southern California. She is a world traveler. You will be in good hands with VIP Tours.

over the years we frequently use their excellent Amsterdam tour guide services for city walk tours. Excellent explanations during the city walk combined with flexibility in preparations makes this a good value for money experience!

We spent three days touring with Chantal and her fellow guides all over Amsterdam and had a wonderful time! We did walking tours, museum tours, and a canal tour too!

My husband and I had the best tour guide experience with VIP earlier this month after the river cruise which ended in Amsterdam. We had a walking city tour, museum guide tour, evening red-light district tour and out-of-city country site tour on their private van. They were knowledgable , witty, accommodating and so easy to be with. After those two days, we felt that we had learned so much about Amersterdam, its history, its people and its real side. Without a wonderful tour guide, we would not have these understanding at all. They take good pictures, too. The wonderful experiences made us feeling a bit sad to leave Amsterdam. They are absolutely PERFECT!!!

I was recently in Amsterdam for 3 days & had the best tour guide!! I know this because after leaving the city I had 10 more days in the country, had many tour guides and NO ONE compared to the one from VIP tours. Our guide took us on a city tour . Her use of English, her knowledge of the city and it's history were without a doubt the best of all the cities I toured!! I would definitely recommend VIP Tours to anyone traveling to that wonderful country!!!

What a fantastic experience we had on our recent tour with Chantal to the tulip gardens and fields! Chantal, as beautiful as the flowers, was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and very caring. Our group consisted of my daughter and her 2 lively middle-schoolers plus a set of shuffling, hip-achy seniors. This diversity of needs and physicality was met by Chantal with much caring and creativity -- strolls through the flower gardens, stops on benches, biking for the younger ones, cozy coffee stop for grandparents. We were picked up and delivered to our door, stopped along the way for windmill and tulip field photo ops, and entertained by her historical and cultural commentary. The Dutch have a treasure in their tulips and in Chantal!

I am Dutch, from Rotterdam. Have been in Amsterdam couple if times before, but this time with an excellent tour guide from Amsterdam VIP tours i finally learned a lot about the history of Amsterdam and she showed me places i have never seen before in Amsterdam. Also the tour in the Rijksmuseum was amazing, i normally enter a museum and go through it pretty fast. With the tour through the museum and explanations about various arts, i have never had such interesting museum visit in my life as this one.
