Address
Neighborhood: Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
How to get there

I immediately understood I wasn't going to like this bar: small, dark and unwelcoming. By the way, I order a small beer for 3€, right place. The bathroom was so disgusting. There was no possibility to lock the door, no hand soap and I'm not going to describe the toilet status.. eventually, we've been invited by the bar-woman to leave, since we had finished our beer and didn't order a new one. Very bad, that's not the way to keep customers

Fine if you're looking for a darkly lit boozer for a couple of dirty pints, but doesn't really fit in to its surroundings. Expect stag do's galore to frequent.

One of the many bars we visited in our two day break. Ten 40+ grown ups were treated like unwanted children by the apparent Land Lady.
Could tell she was incumbent as there were hand draw pictures of her, some years old, on the walls. !!!!
The most unfriendly, arrogant, and obnoxious individual, however we left smiling as once she had turned the music up to max, our group sang every word to both tunes she put on. Oldie world nice bar, but watch for the Troll.

Rambling through the area, this place beckoned! A quaint little place where you can get a pint with a friendly landlady offering a smile and a laugh. Like a traditional pub, 'tis an intimate setting, not rowdy like a lot of pubs in the area.

Cafe Dijk 120 is a proper locals pub we visited as we were bimbling around the Red Light District.
A really cozy pub,low lighting helps create a great atmosphere with nice decor and furnishings and theres plentynof seating throughout this pub,it really is a cool pub.
We were here on a Saturday night and this place was packed ,we got a pint of Heineken beer each and these were served iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in this great pub.
The Heineken beer was really tasty, this is a light and hoppy beer and very easy to drink and a beer i really enjoy.
We really enjoyed our beer's in here and although we only stayed for the one beer before we moved on we had a really good time in here.
Cafe Dijk 120 is really easy to locate on Zeedijk in an area packed with bar's, pub's and restaurant's and in the heart of the Red Light District.
Well worth checking out.

We came to the bar, it was quite empty, the bartender noticed we came there and still she was all the time chating with somebody, cleaning tables around etc. without asking us what do we want.

So me and my partner visited Amsterdam the weekend just gone. We came into this bar for a drink and we waited to be served. The older bar lady came over and because I had change in my hand she started shouting "NO TOILET NO NO NO NO TOILET" then turned around and walked away and started aggressively washes glasses. Honestly I've never had someone be so rude for no reason, you'd assume she'd want customers as it wasn't busy... now we know why.
