Nice place to visit as you can see the staff preparing the cookies before they are cooked. They only make this one type of cookie. Dark chocolate with melted white chocolate centre. It's tasty and goes perfectly with a coffee - there are plenty of coffee places nearby. Go on, indulge, it's worth it.

Walked by here and saw them making these cookies. Decided to buy a couple and OMG they're good!!! Not sure why this is listed as an "attraction". It's a cookie shop.

Tiny store that makes only one kind of cookie. I brought a half dozen home for my family. They freeze well (assuming you don't eat them all on the journey home). Yum.

I could just leave it at "yes", but there's a character minimum. Very delicious cookies. One of those places that does one thing only and does it exceptionally well. If you like chocolate cookies, there's no doubt at all that you'll love these: crispy round the edges, gooey on the inside, sweet and satisfying. Because of the high turnover you'll... More

I am not usually a huge fan of cookies but I really loved these. They are a dark chocolate cookie filled with marshmallow on the inside and baked fresh throughout the day. If you're from New York City, this is the Levain of Amsterdam. Or Levain is the Van Stapele of NYC, however you want to see it. Be aware... More

They claim this is the best cookie in the world and they may be right. I haven't had a better one yet, but then again, I haven't tried all the cookies yet...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
