Waiting in line is worth it! Best eaten when they are still warm, but they also make really pretty gift boxes!

To be truthfully honest I'm not the biggest sweets person in the world. BUUUUT I would chop off my left leg for one of these cookies, maybe even just a nibble of one. I actually cannot describe these cookies with words because I blackout from taste overload every time I enjoy these life changing cookies. They are a bit pricy... More

This cookie is delicious for sure. A very small shop with 4 beautiful girls making home made cookies. But its quite expensive. Nevertheless don't miss it.

Words fail when describing cookies from Van Stapele. The entire store is smaller than most people's walk-in closets. The output, however, is a handmade piece of heaven. We leave in Laren - a 25 minute drive away - and gladly go here for a "6-pack" beautifully wrapped in a turquoise tin gift box. They are not cheap, but since when... More

I live in Amsterdam and I go to this cookie shop every weekend to have these cookies. Dark chocolate cookies with white smolten chocolate on the inside- they are also mostly warm- EVIL!!! Soooo good! I have never eaten any cookie that tastes better. I do not see them baking anything else- only these cookies and there is always a... More

These cookies are insanely good! So rich and indulgent, I naughtily had two, but I think that might be a lot! The shop is small and tastefully decorated. It would fit well in the likes of Fortnums or one of the boutiques in the Burlington Arcade. They only sell one product, a chocolate cookie with white chocolate melting in the... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
