If you want some delicious beer, a unique Brewery experience and a guaranteed awesome afternoon, hit up Brouwerij 't IJ! We got there minutes were in opened and felt cool being one of the first few inside. My friend and I both ordered the Flight of beers, which came with the first five beers on the menu. I was lucky... Oh man, how unfortunate! The Brouwerij't IJ is in a wonderful building of course, it's in a windmill and looks just fantastic! Very lovely. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very crowded. There wasn't any space inside of the building, but as is was a colder day, there was a lot of space for sitting outside. They... More

Visited Pub to have a taste of local Dutch beer . Two type of taste alternatives, we took the lager type. Saturday afternoon it was crowded but service very effective. It took us less than five minutes to order and get our sample drink. Bartender give us information of all beres and in what order to start. Possible to have... More

Very, very nice! A must if you like beer and if you'd like to know how it's made. Tours only on weekends, however you can try the beers any week day. There's also cheese and sausages. If you're in Amsterdam, you have to come to this place

Very cool place really good beer but very busy. If you hang around the bar for 5 mins you might be lucky enough to grab a seat as people leave. The disappointing thing is if you arent lucky you have to go outside which can be quite cold and windy, with no heaters.

Exactly what you want in Amsterdam (as long as you don't want strippers, porn and weed). If it's sausage, beer and cheese you're after, then boom - look no further. Excellent venue. Great atmosphere.

Fantastic beers in a wonderful setting! The Zatte is particularly nice, though all of the others were also great (Zatte was more my personal preference of style). It is easy to get to from the town, direct tram from dam square - if you're here for a few days, you must visit!

If you are looking for good beer, this is good place. You always need to order at the bar. The food offer is just beer bites ( very tasty cheeses and sausages). But the beer is main attraction here. It is really tasty and you always can choose from several various types.

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
