It was a perfect day to do this boat trip for 3 hours throughout the canals of Amsterdam. Even i live here, it is
always very special to see the city from the water. The electric engine is so quiet, and it was an excellent surprise to explore the city - a perfect experience!

Love mokumboot, best guys for renting boats in Amsterdam. They are always super friendly, and very accomodating. The boats has good speed and sturdy, What i like is that they have the steering wheel and the table in the middle, small details but it makes a big difference of enjoying the boat experience in Amsterdam. Would highly recommend!

Awesome experience. We tried to rent the very same day during high season which was not possible at all but it turned out we were lucky in the end as we only managed to book a boat for the day after from one of the outer little ports in Weesper. That was a perfect solution which we only found after taking the boat. The further parts of Amsterdam are much more of a local than tourist vibe and we loved observing the life around from our little boat. Quite expensive though for a 4-member family ...
And a little advice for others during high season: if it is a sunny warm day, prefer taking the boat early in the morning as it might be tough to sail during peak day hours.

We had to give a deposit of €100 in cash only, which was a problem since we don't really have cash on us, specially in COVID times. We had to walk to an ATM and lost valuable late afternoon sunny time. (they had told us to bring cash in a confirmation email in Dutch where it was at the bottom of the email.)
The service was very friendly though, but it was not an ideal start. Strongly recommend to incorporate electronic deposits (we had paid already for our boat via iDeal). The boats were OK although too slow to our opinion.

Absolute nightmare. Stay away from Mokum Boat. Totally inefficient and unprepared for disaster run company. We had to take a Uber 25 minutes from to get their location. The Uber ride was more fun than this disaster boat ride. 15 minutes into riding into the canals , the boat stalled. There was nothing on board to steer us. We phoned and were told to climb out of the boat. How? My elderly husband who has mobility issue and me with my short legs couldn’t climb up the 4 feet tall wall as there was no landing anywhere in sight. We were stuck for an hour and half til a young kid riding on a bicycle came but he also couldn’t make the boat work. What started as an idyllic sunset ride into the canals of Amsterdam turned up to be a most upsetting ride and waste of time. Do not use Mokum Boat! There are other self driving companies that have to be better.

This was one of the best things we did in Amsterdam! Easy to make reservation, very short, streamlined process at the boat location and we were off on our canal excursion. The Mokum personnel were friendly and helpful; the boats easy to operate, clean, reasonably comfortable. It was nice to explore the canals on our own, instead of on one of the big crowded tour boats. (But watch out for the big, crowded tour boats while you are piloting the Mokumboat! They aren't likely to give way!)

We booked this after coming across a YouTube video when planning what to do on our trip. We are so glad we did. It was fantastic. Boat was very easy to use and the views and scenery when cruising the canals were beautiful. We booked 3 hours and glad we did as 1 or 2 hours I feel would not have even long enough. Definitely worth it. Staff wear also great.

This was perfect idea, you get the whole boat to yourself. We brought sandwiches and snacks, and you can rent the boat by the hours. The canals were very easy to navigate and the loop took us about 2 hours. This was way better than any guided boat tour we could of done. If I could give a higher rating i would. Staff was friendly and helpful. 10/10 would visit and recommend to anyone visiting amsterdam.

We booked this boat trip last minute having seen them out and about on the canals. You can book online, but as it was for the same day we called and were booked in within the hour! The boats are large and easy to drive and the lady that showed us how it works was so lovely. You get given a map for guidance and we covered quite a bit in the 2 hours. It is so much fun and definitely worth the extra money from a standard boat tour. You can take your own food and drink on too. It was the highlight of our trip! We would love to do this again and hope they run in the Winter months.

We booked this trip and decided to choose three hours rather than two hours - so glad we did. We had a great time. The weather was amazing and the boat was easy to manoeuvre. Helpful staff at the dock. What would make it better? A) more cushions so you could learn on them and be more comfortable. B) a guided map which has a bit more information about sights that you go past.

Dat is mogelijk maar sinds een week is de Boerenwetering afgesloten. Dat betekent dat u via de Amstel naar het Centrum moet varen. Onze locatie Amstel die deze maand open gaat is dan een stuk gunstiger gelegen.
