Discovering de Pijp Neighborhood in Amsterdam with a local

The Pijp neighborhood is stuffed with fantastic cafés, restaurants and tiny coffee bars. Of course, a visit to Amsterdam wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the Albert Cuyp market, flanked by over 100 shops with the most diverse offers. In the old times, the Heineken Brewery attracted workers from diverse countries, making a multicultural hub out of this area, followed by students and artists. During our private tour we will be amazed by the particular architecture of the area, enjoy some of the most popular Amsterdam street food and even allow some time to walk to the Museum Square and the stunning Vondelpark.

Architectural Walking Tour in Rotterdam

The second biggest city of the country has the biggest port of Europe. And because of its unusual architecture, Rotterdam is a Dutch gem that definitely deserves a visit. During our half tour you will be surprised by the surreal bright yellow Cube Houses and De Rotterdam complex’s stacked glass towers. The architectural thrill extends to other projects such as the swan-shaped Erasmus Bridge and red Willemsbrug bridge.
If you are into high culture, the Museumpark is waiting for you with six different museums and galleries. You can also see the country’s largest artwork in the Markthal while you enjoy a well-deserved drink.

Me and my mom had the best time during our visit in Amsterdam. Tom welcomed us with great smiles, and a lot of great snacks! The weather was not perfect at the first, but all the small town that we visited were so great. I am still thinking of the sausage in the meat shop that he took us, also the cheese factory which gladly I bought a smoked cheese! Tom has a lot of great knowledge and local tips for Holland, and thanks to him it was the best part of our trip.

We had an absolutely fantastic private tour with Tom all over Amsterdam City! Even though it was rather cold (we live in tropical Costa Rica), Tom was so knowledgable, thoughtful, and fun to be around, we forgot all about it. I'd highly recommend a private tour with him if you want a real, local type experience. We walked all over the city the first day we arrived in Amsterdam. It was a lovely way to learn about different buildings, canals and give us a lay of the land. And the best part, Tom captures all the beautiful moments with his camera for you. He is an excellent photographer and it was so nice not to have to worry about taking photos during the tour. We could just be in the moment! Highly, highly recommend! 5 Stars :-).

Highly recommend a private tour with TTT while in Amsterdam; it was soooo much fun! From my very first emails inquiring about tour details to the end of the tour, it was such a great experience. Rob met us at the designated meeting location in a timely manner and couldn’t have been a better tour guide. He was fun, professional, knowledgeable, personable and it was just the perfect way to spend our first day in Amsterdam. Would definitely use TTT’s again! Thank you for such a great experience!

Tom was very responsive from first email contact He helped us figure out how to do several things that didn’t relate to a tour with him and always tried to help in any way. Our tour with Tom was really fun and informative. We loved the city and he took us to all the right places. He moved at our pace and we really enjoyed taking with Tom. It felt like we were with an old friend. My wife and I highly recommend Tom. He also hired a driver for us to take us out of the city for a countryside tour. It was great also. Our driver was nice and enjoyable to be around. Toms tours really highlighted our trip to the Netherlands. On a side note Tom is a professional photographer. So he snapped some great photos of my wife and I while on the tour. He emailed these pictures to us. They are wonderful. This was a very nice surprise at no extra charge Thanks Tom Your friends from Texas

Prior visit to Amsterdam area had given us great time with Tom's Travel Tours for two day trips and so we decided to use the group again (and again!). This time my wife worked with Tom and we, fortunately, had him and his camera as guide for an excursion to Giethoorn and Urk. Giethoorn was a cute and fascinating "water village" with uncountable little wooden bridges and beautiful, quaint cottages along the many waterways. Tom took us on a small boat ride through the waterways and onto a lake in the national park bordering the village. We also traveled to Urk - a fishing village along the North Sea where we wandered about the area seeing the fishermen returning with their catch in rustic boats still in use today. As an aside, we stopped at the Urk lighthouse for a scenic view of the North Sea. This is our third tour with Toms Travel Tours and we really loved spending the day with Tom himself who is so knowledgeable about his country and is a great photographer taking pics of us during the tour, some candid, without us being aware. We will certainly use this group again as they have provided us with four extremely fun and interesting tour days with four of their planned excursions that they tailored for us.
