At We Bike Amsterdam we offer bike tours in the city and in the countryside. It's our goal to take you to the hidden gems of the city and to leave the tourist bubble. We find it important to keep our groups small. This ensures a safe and personal experience. We don't like crowds and we are proud to be Amsterdam 's bike tour company with the smallest groups! This is a fantastic way to see Amsterdam even if you aren't a keen or regular cyclist! The city is bustling with people and is full of history so I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to discover more about both, especially with our guide David, who was very knowledgeable and funny! I will be sure to book this experience again on my next trip to Amsterdam.

An interesting and enjoyable cycle around Amsterdam, seeing the sights and learning about the history – I would thoroughly recommend seeing the city in this way. There is a stop halfway round at a bar (absolutely no pressure to purchase anything though hot cold and alcoholic drinks are available) and a chance to use the loo.
Our guide Piers was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he was able to answer any extra questions from the group. Book it! :)

Had a great time on the hidden gems tour. David was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide and we really enjoyed seeing the city from the perspective of being on a bike. Would highly recommend this tour as one of the first things you do in Amsterdam to get your bearings and also for all the recommendations of things to do!

Totally recommend this trip. Our guide was a really funny bubbly girl also very caring. I was a little cold and she gave me her scarf.to keep warm which I found very endearing she made the trip very enjoyable The trip has a few stops along the way explaining the history of Amsterdam so you aren’t cycling for 3 hours. Cycling in Amsterdam is a bit hectic so it was good to have a guide to show us around the city safely.

We understand you had a lovely tour with our guide. We have indeed some stops during the tour, time to relax and time for the guide to tell a bit about the place. Cycling in Amsterdam can be a bit challenging in the beginning but once you get used to it you simply go with the flow.

Would highly recommend this tour if you want to explore via bike and are unfamiliar with the city! Jasper our tour guide was very friendly and informative. Remember to bring layers as it rained for a part of our tour and seems like that is common.

A great way to see Amsterdam and feel like a local. The guide cycled slowly through the city and you felt very safe in the busy cycling lanes.A mid way stop for refreshments in a pretty park was very nice. A tip would be to wrap up warm. You are out for 3 hours and we were all cold. Would recommend this trip as a fun way to experience Amsterdam.

When in Amsterdam the best way to get an overview of the city is on 2 wheels (or 2 feet). The 3-hr guided cycle tour provides a good overview of key points in main city area. However, given the many cyclists on the narrow roads and paths, this tour is only recommended for competent cyclists, who rude regularly, not once every few years. The guide was very informative but be aware there is no ongoing commentary whist you are riding. Just a brief overview at each of the five stops along tge route.

Highly recommend! The group was on the smaller side and our guide, Jan, was delightful and informative. He took us through areas aside from all the touristy stuff and provided context and history throughout the tour. The information learned on the bike tour really completemented and added context to the rest of my visit in Amsterdam at the museums, ect. Our guide looked after us and made sure we were all safe, and took us on a variety of paths, much appreciated! Bonus: we stopped for coffee and pastries in a beautiful parc. I am really happy I selected this one, was one of the highlights of the trip.

We booked a three generation private bike tour to the countryside with grandparents and grandchildren age 8 and 12 . They had a tandem bike for the eight year-old and her dad and all the equipment worked well and we had a wonderful guide to share 3 1/2 hours. We took the ferry and then rode through fields, saw and understood dykes. So many cows and sheep and windmill. We stopped for lunch at a Dutch hole in the wall, adding to an authentic experience ! It’s a must to see the countryside by biking in a country where everyone rides. it’s flat and relatively easy biking for 3 generations! Good company to choose!

Amazing bike tour with Jasper as our guide. A great way to experience Amsterdam and especially its biking culture. We learnt so much about Amsterdam’s history from Jasper which also adds to the whole experience. You felt like a local as you travelled the streets, while soaking up the sites and learning about how the city ticks. Amazing experience, learnt lots, got to know our way around, great value for money, met some lovely people. Such a fun afternoon that we did not want it to end.. well done Jasper and WE BIKE AMSTERDAM… outstanding experience… JUST DO iT!!

Do you guys have smaller bikes or kid carrier for younger kids. I have a ten year old who bikes well and a six year old that needs to be a bike carrier.

What towns does the countryside tour go through? Ransdorp and/or Durgerdam? Did your bikes have hand brakes or just back-pedal brakes?

Yes we went through both those towns, and the bikes have hand-brakes. We would thoroughly recommend the trip, we loved it.

Thank you for your question. Our regular city bike tours start daily at 10.00 am and 2.00 pm. We also have a countryside tour, leaving at 09.30 am every day.
For Private Groups we can start whenever it works best for you.

Hi, We also have a countryside tour and we're running it late March. It's a great ride, focussing on the area north from Amsterdam called 'Waterland'. We'll back through typical Dutch fishermen villages, see a windmill and enjoy the countryside. Feel free to visit our website for more info.

I did the tour with my 13 years old daughter, and she enjoyed it a lot. As long as your kids are stable riders, I don't see any issues. Have fun in Amsterdam, I am sure you will all love it!
