I booked a table here for myself and my friend on our recent visit to Amsterdam. We loved it! Everything was so quaint like a tea room should be. We had the whole room to ourselves and such an amazing selection of tea to choose from. The package of tea and apple pie was very reasonably priced and the apple pie was delicious and homemade. They even accommodated a vegan option of small cakes for me which I really appreciated. Anne-Marie was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgable about the house itself. We will hopefully be back again soon!

From the amazing homemade apple pie, to the warmth of our hostess, to the wide selection of teas, everything was perfect! Easily the best part of our trip to Amsterdam and highly recommend you book here. It was very homely and we instantly felt relaxed. Thank you for everything!

We fell upon this delightful little tearoom as we were wondering around the streets of Amsterdam with friends and I’m so glad we did. It has to be one of the quaintest little tea rooms I have ever seen. The owner could not have been more accommodating and along with our tea / coffee and the most delicious apple pie, he shared the history of the house with us. The whole experience was one we will always remember and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

We popped into this quaint little tea shop as we ambled through the streets of Amsterdam and what a pleasure it was. Niels was incredibly friendly, talking us through the history of the place and giving us the lowdown on all the teas they offer. We left with a bag of the house blend (on Niels' recommendation) and it is one of the nicest teas we've had the pleasure to taste. We wish we'd have tried the tearoom upstairs - something we'll definitely do next time we're in Amsterdam!

This was such a wonderful find. Kirsten and her husband Niles were so hospitable. We learned all about the history of the building while enjoying a lovely cup of tea and a slice of homemade apple pie. Finding and enjoying this place was the highlight of the day for us!

I scheduled high tea with them. I wanted to do a master class but those were only on weekends. I was very happy with my choice though. I was given so many different pastries and pie and about 12 kinds of different tea to choose from. She even got me a tea from downstairs in the shop to try. I got a history lesson on the shop as well. High tea meant that I could have unlimited tea and since no one else was scheduled to come after me, she said I could stay as long as I wanted til closing. I got there at 4pm so that was a very long time. I stayed til 6 and had a very nice relaxing time. I discovered a new tea and bought 100 grams. I would have bought more if my space wasn't limited. I will definitely be ordering more from them in the future.

Really worth booking for this experience. Beautiful home made cakes and selection of teas to chose from. Beautiful settings in the two rooms. Well worth a visit.
Only disappointment was no soap in the bathroom

I went to Amsterdam with my niece for the day. This house was on the itinerary but I did not appreciate that it was a tea shop. We found the house and stood to take photos. Went across t have a look in the window and the owner was painting the door. It was then I realised it was a tea shop. He asked if he could help and I said a cup of tea and a piece of apple pie. He told me he was fully booked ☹️. He asked if I could come back tomorrow but I explained we were only there for the day. He then said if we could be in and out in 25 mins we could come in now before it opened 😁. We went upstairs. It is very small. It had one table set for four people. The owner was so lovely and accommodating. The tea was gorgeous and the homemade apple pie was to die for. He was so knowledgeable about the house - as it had been in his family for years. He really made our day and I felt so privileged. Would definitely recommend but you need to book!!

Het Kleinste Huis (Smallest House in Amsterdam) is located along Oude Hoogstraat in the city centre and is a national heritage site. This is a cute small house that presently serves as a tea house as well.

Het Kleinste Huis is 2 metres wide and 5 metres deep. It was built in the 1730s, it is traditional bell-gable style and basically a miniature version of many of Amsterdam's canal houses. Have a quick look, take your pics and continue onward with other sightseeing.
