Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

I made a massage appointment on the website for 1:30 on a Sunday. From the website, it appeared that there were plenty of appointment times available. Almost immediately after making the appointment, I received a phone call from the Spa asking if they could change my appointment to 1:00 instead, which was fine. When I was on my way to my appointment (around 12:30) I received another phone call asking if I could change my appointment to 3:00 p.m. instead. I told them I would call back. Since I had almost arrived at the spa, I decided to just go there and speak to them in person. While I was on my way, I received a text message from the Spa saying that my appointment had been cancelled and that they had openings after 6:00 p.m. When I arrived a few minutes later, I was prepared to cancel my appointment. I was then told that because I had arrived and "probably wanted my massage" that they could take me at 1:00 as originally planned. Apparently they weren't sure if they had space but they did. I was a bit frustrated at this point. The massage itself was fine, but there are plenty of nice spas in Amsterdam so I'd recommend avoiding this one.

Being an expat from NYC, I enjoy a good mani/pedi after a long week of work. I chose The City Street Spa because of it's review and location. The atmosphere is really relaxing and clean but the service is absolutely terrible. 70 euros for a mani/pedi in NYC I would have gotten the royal treatment but here they barely even knew what they were doing. Usually the customer is the one who smudges their polish and the technician has to fix it but here the opposite is the case... the technician kept hitting my painted nails and/or the top coat they were using was old so it was smudging the polish! TERRIBLE! I honestly got the impression that the people doing my nails and toes had either never done this in their life or just didn't care enough to even try. Let's just say I will not be returning to The City Street Spa and I'm surprised they're even in business.

On recent trip to Amsterdam, went here for facials (deep wrinkle) with my cousin -- we had Esther and Anna. Both were wonderful! Lovely experience! Only thing to know - proprietor prefers credit cards (just visa or mastercard, does not take AMEX), not cash.

The spa is centrally located, gorgeous views over canals. I have visited flying through Amsterdam having had a manicure and massage. The girls in the spa are lovely but totally incompetent and unskilled workers who could not pass for facial or massage or nail professionals. This is unfortunate as the ambience is pleasant, but the service is too bad. The nail job I got resulted in a butchered cuticle and nail plate experience, as the nails were srubbed so hard that hardly any skin was left on my fingers. The nail plate was so thinned down, my nails have not grown for several weeks past 2mm now and are extremely weak now post rigorous filing. Very upsetting and the price was high by any stretch of imagination.
The massage was ok, medium solid ok, despite the 120 euros paid. At the end, I was bot even offered a foot bath and had to ask several times to wash off the oil off my feet. When I asked, the girl in the spa told me it is good to have oil on feet! Well, I was wearing the shoes made of suede and untreated leather, so the oil would have ruined them. Poor, considering the charges.
I have heard Dutch customer service is not great, so put it down to inexperience and lack of care in the service industry. Amazing, they are still in business. Thumbs down on caring for customers.

I went there to get a manicure. There was only one person working on an old man's feet and 2 girls sitting there not doing anything. And they said I could get a manicure sometime and I booked an appointment the next day. They told me it wasn't this salon but one around the corner. Weird but ok. Well I went around the corner and no shop. I couldn't find anything that could even potentially be a salon.
I went back to ask for directions and they were really rude. I had asked for the address they never wrote it down for me.
I don't see how they stay in business.

I walked in off the street for a manicure and was immediately served. The staff was so friendly! I told them I was recently engaged and they offered me a complimentary blow dry with my mani. It was such a nice treat! Highly recommend a spa day here. Friendly staff and I love my hair and nails! Thanks again! 💅

On the go & needed manicure and pedicure update. This was a very good experience. Located In the central part of town Kim’s is a nice shop with attentive staff. I had a wonderful pedicure with careful attention and extra massage ( more than is usual in New York) given by a male staffer.
Excellent manicure with lasting results. A big help for the traveler away from home. Check website for hours etc.
Mani-pedi about 55 Euros.

Each of the two of us had pedicures, and one of us had a manicure as well. The staff is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is clean and inviting. This was a great experience.

Very professional and helpful staff. Pedicure and face treatment were the best ever and I've had plenty. Will be back for more and try out other treatments. Highly recommended
