We were late picking up the bikes and there was no problem with the reservation. One member of our group was very short and the owner made an effort to find a small bike for us. We will certainly rent our bikes from this company again.

Firstly, renting a bicycle is the best way to explore Amsterdam. I booked the bikes before go to Holland but the time of returning appeared wrong... I wanted a day more. Tried to explain through email what I want but the booking wasn't changed.
They sent me two different confirmation for the price and finally we paid 10 euros more than the quote.
Another thing- I booked a Gazelle bike with 7 gears, but received some other bicycle with 4 gears.
If you choose to use them, just keep in mind that the bikes are oversized. It was perfect for my 2-meter boyfriend, but for me (162 sm) was a real challenge to ride it.

i book a bike rental about a week early, pay via paypal, get a confirmation e-mail, no issues. i show up at the place on the day of the reservation and she looks puzzled and says i can't find your reservation. her colleague/boss comes over and says "[my name]? oh yea, we cancelled your reservation because we need your bike on saturday." no communication about their cancelling my reservation, no refund of the money they owed me, they just expected me to show up so they could tell me they had cancelled my reservation and pay me back then.
first of all, what on earth, what type of company acts like this? second, this is a chain, you're telling me none of your locations can get a bike over to you within 3 days? every bike in your company is rented out in mid/late october...? third, they were completely unapologetic about the whole situation, no one came close to apologizing for the way things were handled.
total garbage operation.

Very disappointed :(
We came to visit Amsterdam for the weekend and made an online reservation for 2 bicycles (which was confirmed by email). When we arrived in the morning to collect the bicycles, their software wasn’t working so we could not take the bikes - ridiculous! We offered to pay cash and even leave a cash deposit but they were totally inflexible and told us to forget it...
So we wasted about 2 hours with this mess and looking for an alternative bike rental (which as last minute was much more expensive...)

Horrible. The worst experience we had in Amsterdam.
In economics they teach you that cash is the paymant form which is always accepted....
These guys are the first place on earth where cash is not accepted. Extremely compex credit card procedures for the deposit rather than just giving it in cash. Not very customer friendly and slow. We ended up knowing the surroundings of the bike rent quite well bcs we spent so much time there because of the credit card payment and deposit. To get your deposit back remember to bring your card; it's to much for them to save it. Also the tire of my bike lost air and was flat and I had to re-inflate it myself.
Very bad!

I rented a bike for four days. Booking wasn't easy, I went there on person but they sent me away, and then the booking through the website kept coming back with wrong dates. Then someone in a bike bumped into my rented bike in the road. Since the rental replaced the bike straight away, I thought the insurance worked just fine. But, when returning the bike, they kept my deposit. So, what was the insurance for? I wouldn't rent there again for sure and would not recommend it: it is cheap but cheap will cost you.

We rented good old- fashioned traditional bikes from rent-a-bike. They were very affordable and reasonable with drop-off times. They are conveniently located close to red light and centrum areas. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bikes came with locks but and are quite inconspicuous compared to some other bike rental companies. Bike theft is an issue in Amsterdam so we were happy to go with bikes that did not have their company name all over their bikes.

There are lots of bike rentals in Amsterdam, so I would definitely avoid this place!
The service is very slow, and once you get the bikes, they need some fixing, so in total it takes a lot of time to get the bikes. We waited for 35 minutes before we were able to talk to the service desk person. We asked how long it would take to get the bikes and the guy answered very rudely that he doesn't know. As we were in a hurry, I asked if we could get the bikes in 10 minutes, he answered he'll do as fast as possible, but then started organizing the papers on his desk as slowly as possible.
Overall the place gave a very bad first impression, as the service was super awful.

We chose to hire our bikes from this place because of good google reviews and the fact it had tandem bikes available! (We wanted the novelty) The gentleman serving us (has been working there 7 years) was very friendly, attentive and professional. He as very busy but was efficient in helping everyone quickly but also being helpful as well. Bike is in great condition, good value - I think it was 18 euros for 3 hours for a tandem bike. Map was very helpful at picking out the sights. Yes we got lost and yes it's hard to navigate pedestrians and roads in the city centre but the experience is totally worth it! Must see Amsterdam by bike! :)

We'd been counseled to get on the train (from Amsterdam, it was easy) and go to Haarlem for our biking in the Netherlands, and found Rent a Bike a great choice for this adventure. The shop is a short walk from the train station and we were in an out and on our way on comfortable three speed bikes in no time. We were directed to a route out of town and into a National Park, and this was a good choice. We got lost several times, but that was part of the fun, as locals were eager to give directions and we saw some different locales and types homes that we'd not seen elsewhere in the Netherlands.
