Kiezersgracht is one of the main canal rings. The intersection with Liedesgracht is one of the more scenic canal intersection.

We visited the Emperor's Canal on a warm weekend. The canal and surrounding area was very crowded. I would suggest a weekday visit.

Amsterdam is known for a place to have good parties. But you have so much more than that... Generally it's a good idea to just walk without a special goal through the city. You will find a lot of beautiful places. The Emperor's Canal is one example of this beauty of Amsterdam: the water, boats laying quietly on the border,... More

Almost everyone who visits Amsterdam clicks a photo here. I did too.. It was great. Love the way the bridges are built over the concentric rivers.

Our 16th century canal house hotel was located on this canal. It was a beautiful, quiet and upscale area that one could walk to restaurants, small unique shops, bars and bakery. The best place for us to be in...within walking distance of anything the guides said we should see in 4 days there.
