We ate on two consecutive evenings at this friendly bar. We had tables by the canal. It was busy but the staff are super friendly and welcoming and create a great atmosphere. Originally planned to stop just for drinks but the food around us looked so good we stayed to eat. Delicious, perfectly cooked Dorado fish with crispy muscles and... More

The Herengracht is one of a series of parallel canals forming part of a ring of waterways that are characteristic of Amsterdam. The Herengracht exudes authenticity and a sense of the benefit of protections for the structural and developmental heritage in... More

Lovely and typically Amsterdam. There is a bench off this street where the bench is which was filmed on The Fault in our Stars. Well the actual bench was stolen but you can visit the replacement which is in the same location. The bench has many locks fastened to it so you can't miss it.

Staying in this area and overlooking this canal. It is fascinating just strolling and watching the river traffic go by. Lots of little shops and restaurants along the way.

Strolling along the canal is relaxing. Seeing all the historic buildings that many have not changed in centuries.

We stayed on the Herengracht Canal at Banks Mansion. The canal is beautiful and the bridges, cafes, and boutiques are numerous! We walked along the canal, as well as took a canal boat tour and loved every minute!

Piece and tranquility of Amsterdam. Heregracht canal is the essential part of Jordaan district with lots of painting galleries along side the canal, cozy cafes cute houses. It's spectacular in the evenings when the bridges over the canal with all illuminations.
