This museum was one of the highlights of a recent three day break in the fine city of Amsterdam. Being interested on WW2, this museum was top of my list bar one other entry (that being the Anne Frank House). This museum highlights the courage...More

The Dutch Resistance Museum should be on your list of things to do when visiting Amsterdam. As a lover of history and WWII, this was first on our list. The entrance fee is minimal, it was not crowded, and the audio guide was very helpful....More

Located in the Plantage area you can combine this visit with the zoo, the planetarium, and the National Holocaust Memorial. Thought provoking and in many ways inspirational, this well designed museum guides you through the history of Dutch resistance to the Nazi regime. It asks...More

Museums similar to this often fail on two grounds, they have a tendency to ignore the fact that much of the population either collaborates or at least takes the course of least resistance and they fail to make visitors think about what they would have...More

No. They require online booking. You should book well in advance. Without online booking, long lines and only limited hours, may have to wait 3 hours. .Unfortunately we could not visit it.

Tram 14 will take you there in about 20 minutes (stop: Artis zoo, Plantage kerklaan), but it's a nice 30 minutes walk through the city center; follow signs to Artis zoo.
