The Amstel runs through Amsterdam and provides some nice water sports activities and is good place to be around at weekends.

peaceful landscape of Amstel River is definitely, one of the most beautiful sceneries in Amsterdam, especially in sunny days. Boats Canals This is what typical dutch landscape.

This river is a one of the broadest "channel" in Amsterdam. When you sail through it on a boat this feeling perfect and you can see many interesting buildings around and a lot of other, little smallest channels.

We took a boat ride down the Amstel and it was just AMAZING!!! The surrounding area is beautiful.... there are loads of pretty canal houses. We went in winter so enjoyed the water colour light festival.
