It is very nice to walk on the East bank from about the InterContinental Hotel to the Opera, especially in the sunset.

We rented a boat for a few hours (sloepdelen) and did spend some time on Amstel as well. Sure a must see in Amsterdam, and remember to drink an Amstel beer while doing so

Interesting going through the centre of Amsterdam on a canal cruise. Life involved the canals and the houses range from magnificent to tiny to boat houses on the side of the canal. Very slow and relaxing.
