Set among the other more famous museums, lovely modern building with adjoining cafe/bar. I had a coffee and cake before entering. Queue fairly small compared to the other museums. 18 euros for myself 9 for my student daughter, quite expensive. However was there for nearly two hours looking at the static exhibitions as well as the 'travelling one' . Isn't... More

That's the modern contemporary art. The graphic work is usualy beautiful made and understanable. Some artworks you can say it "What the hell"" is that.. A big exposition space, a lot of light and that's what I like of this museum

This is a museum which is often left out of 'the big six' but well worth a visit. I am sad it moved from is basic unnotable location to this new one. I all ways thought the contents after entering a tatty plane building was over whelming - the new building might take you expectations beyond what you will see.... More

The name suggests this is a museum with a large collection of art from the Cobra movement, but I didn't notice any of that. It is just a museum for modern art, and quite a small one. I went through the ground floor in 15 minutes. There are some paintings, sculptures, and carpets. Not too bad, but also nothing that... More

This small museum on moden art is conveniently located on the edge of the shopping centre Stadshart of Amstelveen. More than enough parking space, allbeit at a price. The museum itself shows art of the Cobra group. Artist from Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam, more or less. During my visit there were also oother exhibitions apart from the Cobra collection. The... More

No parking facilities. Parking on 300 meters which is far too much for people with a handicap. Website did not mention the extra price of 5 euro's for the Miro exposition. Too expensive. Unstructured exposition. Ugly location in an ugly area. Unfriendly staff.

Museum situated quite away from the centrum. I took a green bus 170 there, and to my surprise my public transport card was not valid there, I had to pay extra money for the ticket. The museum is rather small and the most important part of it for me was a big exhibition of Jean Miro. Indeed fantastic exhibition, you... More

We went to the Cobra to see the Miro-Cobra Exhibit, and were more than impressed. This museum is easy to get to and is outstanding. They have an excellent exhibition area and a good shop. I recommend the Cobra very highly.

I do not like Cobra very much, and I do not like the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen in particular. It looks like a cheaply designed shoebox that fits well with the average Vinex architecturual style that can be found all over the Netherlands. However, the museum hosted a temporary exhibition on Miro, which featured a large number of his works... More
