Went here for the afternoon with my wife. The zoo is amazing, lots to animals to look at and a few we had never seen before. The Aquarium and insectorium were my favourites. The Aquarium houses a great number of well maintained displays of species...More

We enjoyed our visit, as there are many animals and as the zoo is one of the oldest in Europe, the architecture is beautiful. However, I was slightly concerned about the welfare of some of the animals, especially the seals, as their enclosures seemed to...More

While not a fan of zoos in terms of captures animals. This zoo (as far as zoos go) was fantastic. The exhibits are well presented and there is an abundance of animals. We also had lunch there and it was so inexpensive.

Very well looked after. The bird house and tropical house are amazing. The big feature are the jaguars although you need to be patient to see any movement!

Thoroughly enjoyed ARTIS! Zoo was well maintained and less commercialized as others we have attended. Spaced very well with a wide assortment of indoor and outdoor exhibits. The buildings are maintained and boast historic value with beautiful attention to old detail. Price was reasonable, staff...More

It was a great experience, it was different from other zoos I’ve been before. There are special areas that the animals are free to wonder which creates a nice vibe. Better than see animals in cages.
