Bit outdated but fun

Cant complain for €4 . Very funny and quite informative. Some of it is not the faint hearted. Some areas were closed for refurbishment which was a shame.

Whatever it is, it just makes you laugh and if you go there to just have a good time instead of thinking about the quality of the museum, I think its worth it...you can easily spend half hour there...some of the motorized exhibits are interesting and makes you laugh...the marilyn monroe nude is definitely a highlight, and the interesting part... Entrance fee is low (4€), but not much to see actually. You can see some dolls displayed and some comics and pictures. No airco in the museum so do not visit when too hot. Museum gave an oldfashion impression.

The museum is old and run down but only costs €4 and was the funniest experience of the whole trip to Amsterdam. It's so fun and silly, great photo opportunities. The building is tiny with lots of stairs but lots to look at!

So this is a very small sized museum which only costs €4 so thought we would go have a look and it's really funny in there, Not for the prudes but there's lots of photos and bits from the past. Was a really good 30 minutes of our trip to Amsterdam to split the day up!

Doesn’t cost much too enter, however it’s very small and only takes about 15 minutes to look around, wouldn’t go back.

You can't come to Amsterdam and not see this museum!!! Great display, lots of pictures, props and photo opportunities. You find yourself having a good laugh whilst learning. (A quick side note- the pop out mannequins particularly in the model red light street are terrifying!) A must see!!

Conveniently it is less than 10 min walk from the main rail station. Unfortunately they do not accept the Museum card or any other discounts, and the charge is very high respect to the value of the museum. Most of the clientele were young people in their 20's and 30's visiting as a lark. Obviously, judging by the displays, it... More

Looking for a fun cheap activity I would recommend. Small but full of big surprises. If you're looking for something to do I would put this on your list

Neighborhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
