About
Established by Ben Dronkers in 1985, the Hash, Marihuana &Hemp Museum is a tribute to the history of hemp and cannabis. What the museum offers its visitors is an insight into the history of one of the world's most commonly used drugs. The Hash, Marihuana & Hemp Museum also holds a carefully chosen selection of items from the world's largest collection of cannabis-related objects, the result of over a decade of collecting different kinds of objects associated with the cannabis plant. The Museum is not only of interest to cannabis users, but caters to those who are interested in learning about the plant, and even those who are simply curious about the relationship between its industrial and psychoactive varieties. With this extra-ordinary exhibition, the Hash, Marihuana & Hemp Museum definitely makes the list of Amsterdam attractions that tourists should not miss visiting.

I found visiting this museum very interesting.
They gave us a speaker that explained every passage in our own language and we could make it stop or go whenever we wanted, it was a very practical and useful thing that I really appreciated.
If you are interested in this kind of things, you should go there, you could discover much informations you didn't know before.
You may think this is not a serious museum, but it is !
Also the price was very low and the ticket included a visit to a gallery near the museum that explained more abut this topic.

the museum is very interesting, you can find out some interesting facts about cannabis and amsterdam, which is what i was looking for. the staff was very nice and helpful, will take my friends there for sure:). 4 out of 5 because it is pretty small and it does not have a bathroom but anyway it is a very interesting place to see while in amsterdam:)

The mariuhana museum was pretty interesting and informative about the history and laws about mariuhana. It was clearly a bit pro mariuhana but still constructive enought.
The hemp museum was informative aswell but after a while a bit monotonous.
The picture machine didnt send our pictures and as i get advertisment emails it was not because a wrong email of mine

I learnt a lot about the marihuana culture, I've never heard before. Also how it works in Netherlands (about legalisation) and also why it should be legalized. It was a great experience to visit both sites: the museum and the gallery. Also I thought the price of entrance was quite good. Thanks for the staff, they were very sympathetic.

We were visiting Amsterdam during Christmas break and found this place a bit by accident. It was well worth the visit. They had lots of cool info and artifacts. It was amazing to see all the things that can be made with hemp including an electric scooter!

A nice highlight to our Amsterdam trip. The photo booth is a fun touch. Relaxed and not overly crowded, or rather a large space for the artefacts. Very cool to see the plants towards the end. Loved that there was two museums for the price if one!

Rip off. It is way too expensive for nothing. I will never recommend it to anyone. Not worth the time (eventhough you wont spend much since it’s so small). Only one room with pictures.
It gives you nothing but an empty purse.

It's a fun place to visit when travelling to Amsterdam but don't expect to much of the small exhibition. It's a collection of artifacts and information related to the subject and a selection of plants, but in my opinion the exhibition lacks a bit of structure and volume. We spent about half an hour in the museum.

9 euros for nothing! We had hoped for some history and information from seed to weed, but got very dissapointed. The cashier was high and yealling loudly. It felt like we just supported her drug addiction.

An absolute rip off - the €9 per ticket was ridiculously overpriced for what was, at best, 15 mins worth of rather hastily put together paraphernalia and posters/pictures.
