- Kathryn21121963Perth, Australia88 contributionsWell presentedVery well planned. Audio device worked well and you could pause and resume easily throughout the tour to suit yourself. The house has been designed to replicate the original with well maintained artefacts to make it life like. The etching demonstration was well worth taking part in. Well priced at €17.Dear Kathryn, thank you for visiting our art studio. I am happy you find it worth the money. We can really use it, because Rembrandt keeps collecting rarities such as the magic lantern, and this hobby is not cheap. - Liz HCardiff, United Kingdom38 contributionsThorough introduction to RembrandtWe enjoyed this much more than we expected. The audio tour was very thorough and interesting, easy to use and you could pause it whenever you wanted or revisit areas. We saw Rembrandt’s paintings in the Rijkmuseum as well, but this audio tour gave me a much better idea of the techniques he used and even how he mixed his paints. It was also interesting to focus on his etchings, which I would probably not have bothered to look at otherwise. A good introduction to his life as well. Highly recommended.Dear Liz, thank you for visiting my art studio. Hendrickje, Titus, Cornelia and myself really enjoyed it. Feel free anytime to stop by again, we might have more interesting paintings for sale. - Frank F1 contributionA great introduction to the artist and city if you don’t know much about either. This was a fun, little experience! It’s about 25mins and I felt that the price was appropriate. I did the VIP ticket which allowed me to choose a time 15 mins before the actual opening time. It included a little sweet snack and drink (water, soda, or juice. The experience includes two rooms that are immersive, but note it is not interactive. It was a great way to learn a little more about Rembrandt’s life within the context of the historical city of Amsterdam. It was very creative and well orchestrated. I recommend attending this towards the beginning of your stay as it will give you a basic level context and the history of 1600s Amsterdam. When you walk out and explore the canals and tight streets, you can start to imagine how it was during those times. And it did not take long, so you can really squeeze it into a larger itinerary, which is how I planned it.Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten October 26, 2023
- MKTBETopeka, Kansas4,090 contributionsEverything Rembrandt! We purchased the Combo Reservation for the Rembrandt’s Amsterdam Experience and the Rembrandthuis Museum. Earlier in the morning, we had an interesting and informative tour at the museum. We weren't sure what to expect from the Rembrandt Experience. It is a well-done visual synopsis os Rembrandt’s life. It takes place in two rooms which envelope and draw you into his life. I will add that while we enjoyed it - it is very short, and I am not sure that it is worth the cost if you had not purchased the combo ticket.Dear MKTBE, thank you for visiting my art studio and we really appreciate your review. Great to hear you have visited my previous house. I don't go there myself often, I don't want to think about what happened there... that book is closed. I know my previous house is much bigger, but the magic lantern you encountered when you visit my current studio must be exciting too right? - Kate M3 contributionsA fun experience! We very much enjoyed our time at the Rembrandt’s Amsterdam experience. It is not a museum, it is more like an experience that you can immerse yourself in and enjoy the dramatic performance of Rembrandt and his story. At the end there was an option to create some fun AI Rembrandt style artwork, which we look back on with fondness. It was a great 1 hour fun which we were able to slot in whilst we were waiting for a restaurant booking. Thank you for the great experience.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 3, 2024

Nice staff and interesting story about Rembrandt's bankruptcy. Old stories told with new techniques such as videomapping. Don't expect a huge experience, it is small, but well worth 20 minutes of your time & worth the price. Downside there is no toilet.

I never thought I would ever experience Rembrandt's time like this. Rembrandts Amsterdam is a trip through Rembrandt's life. You learn what has been important in his life and what influence this has had on his work. An immersive experience that I will not soon forget.

This is a great place to visit during a visit to Amsterdam. The information is conveyed in a cool way - unlike most other museums and attractions. The set was amazing and it really set the mood for the information about Rembrandt that was shared. The experience lasts long enough to take you to Rembrandts world, but is also the perfect amount of time to explore Amsterdam before or after. Amazing !

Yesterday we visited the Rembrandts Amsterdam Experience with some colleagues. It was a big surprise, enjoying the storytelling of Rembrandts history with the use of State of the art special effects. Well done! A must see for every tourist visiting Amsterdam
