like stepping back into the 1960's - fantastic place

visited for the last ever football game played here by Ajax in 2014. The place is fantastic with flame towers and the rings still in place in and around the stadium

If you are looking to park a car that is more than 2 metres tall in a park and ride in Amsterdam, go to the Arena one. It took us a lot of driving around to find this out, as it is not at all advertised on the P&R website or leaflet (we had a roofbox). A very friendly parking... More

I attended the European Athletic Championships in early July which were held in the stadium. Built for the 1928 Olympics but renovated and restored in the late 1990's I think. Event well organised but this could not hide my discomfort as the seats were hard with no legroom whatsoever (cheap seats with no cover). Toilets were outside the stadium due... More

We went here for the European Athletics Championships. The 1st night we were in agony! The seats are so uncomfortable. We were in uncovered seats . We are used to going to stadiums and we don't think we have ever had such uncomfortable seats. The top of the seat dug into your back and there was hardly any leg room... More

Visit the championship on Friday the 8 of July. And wow what an event. We where sitting in the L section and had a fantastic overview of all activities in the evening with the high light the 100 m finale ladies. The Dutch girl Dafne Schippers won the final it's super cool to see her win. Wow The sponsor Le... More

It's been nearly 100 years since Amsterdam hosted the Summer Olympics. The stadium still stands and doesn't look nearly its age. We went for two reasons. First, they hosted an international U19 soccer tournament inside the stadium and sports showcase outside that included 3 on 3 basketball, martial arts and volleyball. When we first arrived, we were supremely confused about... More

The parking is good and secure however the park and ride system is overly complex and terribly explained. In short, you have to qaulify for the park and ride by buying a Park and ride ticket, alongside a tram pass fkr each mber of the group your with. The tram pass must then be used for a maximum of 1... Highly recommended for getting into Amsterdam. If arriving after 10 only 1€ to park there all day and it only cost us 6€ return between all 4 of us to get a tram into the centre and back. 7€ in total was great value. Also coming week after Johan Cruyff sadly passed it was nice to pay our respect at... More
