The boat ride in a nutshell was dreamy. As we took the boat ride in the evening at 6pm, it was an interesting kaleidoscope of colours as you get the best of both worlds in terms of feast for the eyes. We started off at the boat stop near to the central train station and by the time we reached... More

Love this area especially the Negen Straatjes / The Nine Streets: lovely boutiques and great bars. Really worth a visit!

In Amsterdam they have three major canals and prinsengracht is one of them after Herengracht and Keizersgracht. The canal is right in the middle of the street yet gives a feeling as if you are walking through a beautiful countryside. The canal sides are beautifully spread with lots of restaurants, shops and cafés. The view is spectacular and some of... More

The absolut most romantic street I've ever been at. Full of cafés, restaurant, trees, small bridges, and everything is beautiful!

There are so many beautiful and elegant canal houses here. Walking along the canal is very quiet and it's hard to believe you're in the middle of a city.

Look for a nice cafe (there are a lot) to sit next to the canal and enjoy watching the boats go by. There are many canals and I got to a point in which all streets look the same. General recommendation for the city: get a bike, car parking places are expensive, the free ones are just a few and... More

Nice and peaceful area to hang out. Stopped here while on a tour, really like it. Not an area to drive in though, most of Amsterdam is congested, tight streets and expensive parking.
