Access to the 9 straatjes with it's boutiques shops and trendy people. Many places to pick up a sandwhich for around 4 euro's or have a cup of coffee.

Both the canal and the street wrap around the city center on the west, south and east. The Jordaan, where we stayed for a week on house boat in mMay, is in the west, Great neighborhood location.

A great walking city. Very safe. My teenage nieces walks on their own even deep in the night. If pickpocketting reaches the evening news, it says enough about the city. Have fun in amazing amsterdam.
