We had to go through here more quickly than we wanted, due to time constraints with our trip, but it is such a nice museum. The paintings are amazing, of course, and if you can't make it to any other museums in Amsterdam, this is...More

This place should be on the list of "must to see in AMS" :-) Even I am not super fan of art, I really enjoyed and will visit again.

Worst queue ever and don't bother with the voucher system as the queue is as bad as without the vouchers and no better value. Information is terrible

If you are really into Van Gogh you will like this. His most famous paintings are not here. Slight disappointment.

We were not expecting to learn so much about the "legends" of Van Gogh. A new exhibit about Van Gogh's last years has opened. It was very informative and enjoyable.

Enjoyed our visit to the museum very much. A must-do when visiting Amsterdam. It was popular/crowded, even on a Tuesday morning, so we were fortunate to have purchased advance tickets. Recommend the audio tour to get the full effect of the exhibits, especially the newer...More

We had booked online for a specific time. Otherwise the queues can be 2 hours long. I'm not sure about the Museumkaart.

No, but you have big museum store right by VG museum. If you need to go in a NEMO museum shop (perfect for children gifts) you can go without ticket.
