Wonderful displays and excellent signage. Really good audio support. My OBE criticism that stops me giving 5 isthat my mobility is limited and the lifts and signage forthem is very poor. It also probably causes problems for prams. This limitation is not just here, i...More

If you want to get a detailed look at Amsterdam's eventful history, this is your best stop. Located in the middle of Amsterdam in an old orphanage you are guided through the history via paintings, Displays and mulit-media. Very informative and enttertaining, an absolut recommendation!

We loved this museum! Really nice overview of the history of Amsterdam. Wish we had come earlier in our trip so we knew the background for other tours and museums. But really enjoyed.

Enjoyed an hour or so walking through the museum. Price good.... 27 euros for Two adults and two teenagers. Great modern exhibits and really fascinating to learn more about the history of Amsterdam. A lovely location.

We initially attended the museum just to look around by ourselves. However, we welcomed and invited to join a free guide to help celebrate the pride events. The tour was delivered well and in an interesting way by Alex who was extremely welcoming.

A good museum that gives you a good history of the city. I think it is a little over rated and priced above average.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
