Not much to say about this place. I personally didnt like this park at all. Nothing special about it. People sitting, relaxing, cycling, cooking weed. That's it. Visit only if you have extra time in Amsterdam.

It is hard to believe that this natural beauty sits right in the heart of Amsterdam! Made for leisurely strolls and picnics! Easy access from a number of different entry points in the museum and casino areas. Plan on spending at least an hour strolling the beautiful park.

Huge and beautifull park, with lakes and ducks included, very good place to chill and picknick. Worth the visit, and really close to several museums and points of interest.

We lived next to the Vandelpark and were happy to enjoy walking and riding bikes and admiring great landscape.

A very beautiful park with some great lakes and birds. Was a nice warm day so we just relaxed watching the world go by. It's a nice place to visit providing that it isn't too cold, they do have places to eat and drink which we didn't try but they seemed reasonable in price.

What a lovely green area this is.There were folk having a picnic or walking the dog or riding their bicycles. There was an open air theatre, rose garden,a play park for kids,a sports field etc. This is an oasis in the city which does not have many such parks.

Rent a bike. Go to all Amsterdam and during the day be sure to visit this park. Hidden treasure in the middle of the city. Beautiful. Can picnic there or just enjoy the view and fresh air.

A beautiful oasis only a short walk from the Museumplein. Enjoy it for itself (for a run or a wander), or use it as a corridor between the Museumplein and the Willemspark shops and cafes.

This is a wonderful place to jog, bike, walk, picnic or throw a frisbee. There's even a swimming pool for children. Reminds me of parks you'd see in London..

We rented bikes and rode through the city. We ended up spending about 3 hours in the park, and would have stayed longer if we had time. Truly a beautiful park. Plan a picnic there if it's not a rainy day.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
