I love this park! Go here alot with friends during the spring and summer... Great for picnics, bbqs, day out, live music, or taking the kids to the playground or kiddy pool. Very clean as well!

This lovely park is worth a visit anytime. Autumn is especially nice. The park is located near the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum and makes a wonderful stop to chill and people watch. The park is an oasis of green.

Beautiful park for walking, cycling or with the children. I would imagine outdoor music here in the summer.

Went for a stroll through Vondelpark when visiting Amsterdam. Pleasant park to walk through and saw some unusual but beautiful wildlife. I especially loved that there is a lost and found area where people just peg up things they have found. There would never be any of that in Scotland!

Great for everyone to enjoy a few hours of outdoor, sniffing fresh air, catching rays of sun and vitamin D. Playgrounds, lunch and dinner at various establishments with great views. 2 main entrances that allow you to walk from city centre to part of the city's south side and a few entries/exits on the west side of town that will... A great space in central location to enjoy some greenery. The park is full of people socialising, exercising or relaxing at all times of day and night which made evening / early morning runs feel safe - just watch out for all the bikes!

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
