My friend and I rented two road bikes from MacBike for a week to ride around the city and nearby towns and the whole bit went really well. They provided nice bikes which were well maintained, and the people were really helpful both when we...More
Last week we rent bikes for a day in amsterdam and this week we have rented 4 bikes for a four-day family tour by Zuid Holland. In the two establishments we have been the staff has been very friendly. Especially Theo who attended us the...More
MacBike was so easy, as long as you have your credit card or passport it is a case of walk in, pick a bike and go explore! Amsterdam is setup for bikes first, cars second. macbikes is located in a 24/7 free public bike park...More
We opted to rent two (three )speed bikes , and decided to use the ( free) shuttle ferry across to the North of Amsterdam and follow the waymarked cycle trail to Marken Island.

Hostile and unwelcoming people.
The guy who gave us the bikes had a bad attitude, impatient. Not a pleasant experience. The same for the other lady working there.

My husband and I enjoyed our bike tour a few days ago. It was just under 2 hours long and we covered about 8 miles. Our guide, Berber, was very charming and knowledgeable about Amsterdam and helped us feel safe in a city with many...More
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
I checked for renting tendem bikes, and as much as they have them, I was not convince it was the right way to go. They look very heavy and the staff did say they were not the easiest to handle. Maybe they have better ones... More
