Welcome to the perfect Canal Cruise Experience!Language guarantee! We strive to create a unique experience on our regular cruises (our City Canal Cruises, Evening Cruises and Blue Boat Dinner Cruise); all our boats are equipped with an extensive Personal Audio System that lets you select the language you prefer. On our City Canal Cruise we offer 17 languages choose from! We provide you with your own set of headphones, which are yours to keep. It also means you do not have to listen to any of the other languages, just to the one that you have selected. And because you only hear one language, we can tell you more!Blue Boat Company's fleet consists of luxurious party boats; six of our boats are fitted with wheelchair access en two are powered by electricity, using “green electricity” to make our contribution to cleaner air. All our boats have a glass roof that can be opened, an outside deck on the back (ideal for picture taking!)and in winter, we turn on our central heating! In summer, take our unique small open boat, the Blue Sky Boat, for a more intimate tour. And don't forget our unique 4 course a la carte dinner cruise, which combines a lovely meal, specially selected wines and the best views in one evening!

We pre-booked this cruise along with the Van Gogh museum - they are located within a few minutes of each other. The tour is a prerecorded narration that is informative and interesting. Very relaxing, even in the rain!

We bought the tickets online - very easy process. Boats leave every 30minutes from outside Hard Rock Cafe - we used electronic version of tickets on mobile phone - very popular so worth getting there 10 minutes before the hour /half hour. No refreshments on board but you can buy drinks including wine/prosecco from stall at jetty. Headphones for commentary... More

At the last minute we decided to take the 90 minutes evening tour and we were truly pleased with that decision. Included with our ticket we each received a complimentary drink and we had and endless bowl of snacks and we thoroughly enjoyed the staff and the tour. I highly recommend you experience the Blue Boat Company's Canal Tour.

11 of us took the tour. The duration was perfect at 1 hour 15 minutes. We all learned a lot about Amsterdam and, apart from the very youngest (aged 10) listened along to the unique commentary. I would highly recommend.

We did this Canal Tour between visiting the Van Gogh Museum and The Rijksmuseum so it provided us with a relaxing reset. We had a beautiful day and the prerecorded audio tour, which was provided through headsets to accommodate the wide range of languages spoke by passengers, was very informative and entertaining. In my opinion, this is the best way... More

I went on with my two friends on the evening tour. Each got 1 complimentary drink and a small bowl of snacks. The tour lasted 1.5 hours going through different canals in Amsterdam, the audio guide was informative. There was also blond server/waitress who was super lovely and attentive.

We went at lunchtime and got a boat to ourselves as we were a family of 7. Paul the Captain tailored the trip to us and entertained us with industrial and maritime history, architecture, the zoo and showed us the stunt boats used in some stunts for a recent movie. 75 minutes long about €19.50 each we felt it was... A most uninterested host/driver who mainly used the very old pre recorded commentary that was difficult to hear as playing music at the same time for some unknown reason! The tape was cringe worthy in particular! Got off the boat after an hour not really knowing anymore history. Would not recommend this provider for your Amsterdam cruise as such a... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
