Welcome to the perfect Canal Cruise Experience!Language guarantee! We strive to create a unique experience on our regular cruises (our City Canal Cruises, Evening Cruises and Blue Boat Dinner Cruise); all our boats are equipped with an extensive Personal Audio System that lets you select the language you prefer. On our City Canal Cruise we offer 17 languages choose from! We provide you with your own set of headphones, which are yours to keep. It also means you do not have to listen to any of the other languages, just to the one that you have selected. And because you only hear one language, we can tell you more!Blue Boat Company's fleet consists of luxurious party boats; six of our boats are fitted with wheelchair access en two are powered by electricity, using “green electricity” to make our contribution to cleaner air. All our boats have a glass roof that can be opened, an outside deck on the back (ideal for picture taking!)and in winter, we turn on our central heating! In summer, take our unique small open boat, the Blue Sky Boat, for a more intimate tour. And don't forget our unique 4 course a la carte dinner cruise, which combines a lovely meal, specially selected wines and the best views in one evening!

Went on this tour as was sold as a city cruise. Instead we got a Light Cruise which was 90 mins long was ok but after about 30 minutes was very boring. Wouldn't do it again. Lights were ok but nothing amazing.

Used my airport transit wait time to visit Amsterdam Central and hopped right onto this boat as the queue wasn't long. I enjoyed the tour and bit of history commentary too that was running. Was a lovely sunny summer afternoon so lots people to see along the way. Enjoyed the closed ferry but next time I think I will try... More

I took an afternoon tour. It was about an hour. It is very nice as you get to see a lot of the city and the canals in a short period of time. There are good places for pictures and it is helpful to walk out on the back of the boat for those. My boat wasn't too crowded and... More

We went on a blue boat cruise around and the exhibits of the light festival that Amsterdam has running for two months every year. It was nice to see the beautiful city all lit up with Christmas decorations from this view point, along with all the art exhibits. The tour is about an hour and a half long, and by... More

The tickets for this tour were quite cheap and included one drink, which was great. The tour was relaxing with earphones you could plug in to listen to the tour guide in your desired language, but if you preferred to just take in the views you could do this too as the captain gave some hilarious commentary anyway! Extra drinks... More

I went on a day trip and then on a trip in the evening. Both cruises were lovely. A great way to see Amsterdam from the canals. The boats were very well kept.

We went on the Blue Boat evening Light Festival Tour on Dec. 28, 2016. It was boring. It was difficult to see anything outside the windows of the boat, the tour guide was hard to understand and what little we did understand was not very interesting. the "light festival" was quite limited and not really very interesting. We stood outside... More

Rude and unhelpful service while trying to get the tickets. Would 100% go with another company. The 20 minutes to get the tickets meant we missed the boat we were aiming for for meaning we had to rush other exertions.

Took the cruise from Blue boat, experience was nice, went to their dock, bought the ticket, 10 minutes later we were on the 4pm boat, the trip goes around the city and takes no more then 70 minutes, passing some important points of the city along the way. I'm pretty sure the cruises are basically the same route, maybe there... More

It's a good experience for 1st timer in Amsterdam. The view along the canal is lovely and it was informative.

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
