Amsterdam is best explored by water, and this affordable boat cruise gives you unobstructed views of canal-side attractions like the Anne Frank House and Hermitage Museum. The boat’s small size and comfortable seating mean you won't be jostled by crowds, and you can enjoy unlimited Heineken beer, wine, and soft drinks while gliding through Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed waterways.

This afternoon we were passing this place and this small "Boomzagertje" was nowhere to find. Has he finished cutting the branch?. After 30 years it's been a confident sight on the square but since october 8, 2019 it was disappeared. It's too bad to see the branch was gone. Nobody know if he's ever coming back again.

This small figure of a woodcutter/sawyer is on the branch of one of the trees in the Leidsebosje - a tree-lined grassy garden square to the west of the main Leidenplein. You'll see him if you look at the tree at the front of the square, just next to the path on the left hand side. I felt quite pleased with myself for tracking him down!

Walked past this statue of a woodcutter on the branch of a tree many, many times but needed a guide book to root him out. Look for the supports / straps of a large branch and between these is where he is.

This little guy will take you by surprise, even when you're looking specifically for him, he will delight you when you finally spot him, busily cutting away at the tree. Artist unknown. Awesome.

I've been fascinated by this cute statue since the first time I saw it long time ago so everytime I passed this statue, I always made a stop. It was created by an unknown artist. This is one of six statues-sculptures you can find in Amsterdam that was made by unknown artist which was raised during the night. This one was placed on a branch of the tree at the night of January 30, 1989. The former Queen's birthday is January 31. Some people said that it was made by the (former) queen Beatrix as one of her hobbies is sculpting. It is so small that people just walk passing it without seeing it. It is located on a branch of a big tree on the green area near the tram stop (on the bridge)of Leidseplein.
