Wow, what a great cruise. I thought it would be nice to see the canals of Amsterdam by cruise but I was so surprised at the food and service!! The cruise was nice and slow while we ate. There was no rushed service. Saw a lot of awesome sights I would not have typically seen if I didn't take the... More

We took the candlelight cheese and wine tour on our first night in Amsterdam, and it was the highlight of the whole trip. The athmosphere was fantastic and the food and wine was nice. You literally get really close to the city and its people, it felt like we were in a movie!

I took the dinner canal tour for celebrating my nephew's birthday together with my family that was in town visiting. The organisation was good. The orders for our dinner were filled in before boarding and the food (pizza) was served on time. The service and variety of drinks was also very good. The route the boat took was nice and... More

This dinner cruise thoroughly exceeded my expectations. From the moment you enter the boat there is a professional approach by the excellent waiting staff who guide you to a table which is beautifully set. During our 6 day stay in Amsterdam the food we ate on this cruise could not be surpassed, in fact everywhere else we ate was a... More

Booked the highlights of Amsterdam sightseeing cruise through Viator. Lovely way to see the city from a different perspective. Had forgotten to take my headphones, though I think they will provide them, but commentary was in English anyway. Was very relaxing despite the engines being very loud. Easy to find as situated across from Central Station. Well worth the money.

I took the evening Wine and Cheese Cruise and it was beautiful!! The cheese was delicious and the wine was flowing (and delicious). I'm a solo traveler and was hesitant to go on the cruise by myself, but I enjoyed chatting with the people I shared a table with. I would definitely recommend this cruise again!

My wife and I had some time to kill before leaving for home so decided to take this trip. We had previously been on the canals on a dinner cruise but felt we did not really have time to concentrate on the sights as we enjoyed our delicious dinner. So we decided to go for the 100 highlights cruise. It... More

The Amsterdam Canal Cruises are well worth it as you get to see a lot of the city in the comfort of a seat, the peace of the canal, a roof if it was raining, and a perspective you don't get from walking. Great for photos and leasurely enough to read your travel guide as you pass each site, a... More

I was a little reticent about the dinner cruise, as it's not the lowest cost tour you can do. However having done it I'll recommend it as better value than I feared. We'd already done a tour of the city so the sporadic commentary was of little use, however the food (prepared on board) was excellent and the inclusive wine... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
