For several months, I often came here to study. It's a perfect place for students in Amsterdam or those who happen to need some quiet space to do work. Mind you though, people here aren't the quietest. There have been times when I had to...More

Nice place for food and drink and to enjoy a view of the city. Worth a quick trip for a cold drink. The views are terrific from the top floor.

Beautiful modern library with an outstanding kids floor and a terrific view, but it's still a library, and so you need to ask yourself if that's what you want to be doing with your time e in Amsterdam. We happened to be staying in the...More

The library is wonderful piece of modern architecture, however the children area is the shining star. it is the finest I’ve ever seen. The mouse house is a several story playhouse with many rooms. Each room depicts a different scene. There is a book which...More

This is a very welcoming place for a quick visit or a longer stay. The library is well-lit, with many study carols and internet access stations. A large children's section is available on the lower level. The only reason I didn't give this a top...More

This library is enormous for my standards, I appreciate the great collection of Dutch and international literature, friendly staff and the restaurant on the top floor. Great place for studying and great, central location too.

My wife wanted to sleep, and I wanted to read but reading in the room would have meant turning on lights, making some small sounds and disturbing her sleep. It was suggested to me to go to the nearby library. A most impressive building in...More

Superb views ove Amsterdam and drinks at a reasonable price. The seventh floor cafe in the library is a must. Our only regret was that we had just eaten, because the food served there looked fantastic. We will be back totry it.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
