This is fantastic and such a beautiful thing to do for those poor kitties in need. You can also head in and play or pat the cats who are for the most part all very friendly. Please don't leave without providing a donation - cats are very expensive and need a fair bit of care and what these people are... More

A cat rescue center on board a canal boat. Fantastic idea!!! Lovely place! Most cats roam freely about, some are in cages for various reasons. Please respect the signs on the cages that say "Please don't touch me! I might scratch you" Definitely worth a visit. Adopt a cat a distance while you're there :)

A must for cat lovers - a cat rescue centre on a boat, right in central Amsterdam. You can visit between 1 and 3 pm every day except Wed and Sun, and see all the cats. These people are doing a great job helping cats; please go and visit and donate something...and have an interesting time too.

I was very happy to discover this place that takes in stray and homeless cats. The volunteers are kind individuals catering to every cat's needs. You get the opportunity to stroke and play with the cats. Some are friendly but many are afraid and not used to human contact. Fourteen of the cats are permanent residents and others are up... More

How often do you get to go on a house boat that's only occupants are cats? If you like cats this is a must and your donation helps look after them. Only open a few hours a day.

Heard about this just before we went away and thought it would be worth a visit. This place is run completely by volunteers and they do a fab job looking after the cats, they rely on donations from visitors to keep it running. The place was spotless and the cats had plenty of space and there was an outdoor area... More

This is a great little 'out of the ordinary' sightseeing stop! The staff there are very dedicated to the welfare of the cats and its super clean. I work in a veterinary hospital and to be honest the cleaniness of this place puts us as a hospital to shame. All cats can come and go as they please, theres a... More

We were so plased to have read about the Pozenboot before our trip. We have 11, yes 11 cats at home and I miss my babies when we go away. The people who run the shelter and look after the cats are professional and friendly. The cats are all happy and the place is immaculate. I was very impressed. Me... More

I had read up on the Poezenboot before visiting Amsterdam, and am really impressed by the work that they do. The reason I have titled the review "Jealous" is the fact that it was closed when I arrived! I had no access to the internet, being a foreign traveler, but had read Tripadvisor reviews beforehand and am glad other people... More
