This was easily the highlight of our 6 day visit to Amsterdam. A small, intimate, 150 year old boat (20 people capacity). The boat itself is in excellent condition. All tables have white linen table cloths. There is clean well maintained washroom onboard. You are greeted by the very friendly captain and immediately served a glass of champagne and a small tray of appetizers (peanuts, salami balls and olives). The boat itself does not have a kitchen. What they do is take your order, call it in to Van de Kaart caterers and then cruise around the canals periodically pulling over to pick up the food which is hot and very well presented. All the dishes and appetizers we selected were excellent. Nothing disappointed. The wine selection, while limited, has something for everyone in various price ranges. We had the Spanish rioja from Remelluri which was quite nice. I would recommend this experience and would do it again the next time I am in Amsterdam.

This was a great way to end our last full day in Amsterdam. Beautiful boat, delicious food, excellent service, and friendly informative Captain who described the areas of the canals as we cruised along. Special mention too for the young lady who served us at our tables - she was very attentive and efficient. All in all, a lovely and relaxing experience and one that we would happily repeat.

Amsterdam at its best. Amazing food, service and sights. Had a vegetarian and a teenager with me and both left very happy. 1 skipper and 1 crew manage the beautiful boat for three hours and couldn’t fault the experience.

Absolutely delicious dinner advertised as 3 courses, but really more like 5. Skipper was competent and entertaining ... he reminded us of actor Leslie Nielsen. Duration of cruise was nearly 3 hours and took us to some of the less-frequently visited canals in Amsterdam. After you order your starter, entree, and dessert, the food is cooked and plated at an onshore kitchen that I'd rate as 4 or 5 stars. To hear the skipper's commentary, you should sit at one of the 3 tables in the forward section; to have a more private area, go aft. While the price is fairly high, I'd still say it was worth it! In cold weather, the boat is fully enclosed and heated.
