I've been taking groups on the canal cruise for nearly three years now and it's always a highlight of not just our visit to Amsterdam, but an overall European vacation. The staff is always attentive and willing to help and give commentary on the different sights along the canals. We always sign up for the pizza cruise, which is quite... More

Very nice tour of Amsterdam. Hop on and Hop off. Did a full circle around the city from Anne Frank house to the central station, the opera house, past Heineken experience, the rijksmuseum, and back to Anne Frank house all via canals. The boat itself is comfortable with announcements about attractions as well as city landmarks on the way.

My boyfriend and I went on the pizza cruise in Amsterdam on Saturday 21st January 2017 for his birthday. I'd read mixed reviews online so I was hoping it was worth the money. It was fantastic!! We had an all female crew (Nicole, Fleur & Lisa) who couldn't do enough to help, they were so friendly and made the evening... More

We take the water color cruise program it is AMAZING to have this trip with the cruise. Before on board, we get a hot Gluhwein and sauteed hamburger with chowder soup. Super nice can have this "warm up" before the chilly weather for visiting the light festival, also the on-boat tour guide is so great :) strongly recommend that join... More

Best part of my visit to Amsterdam was the evening boat tour amongst the canals and light festival that was on show. This was a magical experience, and one that if you are lucky enough to catch before it ends then you must do it.

We went on the Amsterdam Light Festival Cruise and booked extra for the Fast Track service and chose Canal as they were one of the official partners for the event. Having arrived at the pier there are no clear instructions that you have to go to the desk and get a slip of paper to hand to the captain of... More

This was our highlight of our NYE trip to Amsterdam - a 75 min tour of the canals with the added bonus of seeing the Amsterdam Light Festival. Thoroughly enjoyable and very interesting - thank you to Michael who was our navigator and tour guide

Came here for a 4 course dinner and boat trip with my family. FINDING IT Near the train station, there are LOADS of different companies offering boat trips so we actually found it really difficult to find this place. I think probably because they've called themselves the Canal Company so it's a very generic name and it's not very clear.... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
