Got to see the City from water level. Tour guide was informative and friendly. We just got the one loop trip and that worked well for us. we were able to walk later to the places that we wanted to see again!

Captain Bart was very friendly and extremely knowledgable of the history he shared with us. When the rain fell a bit more, he pulled under a bridge to let the worst of it pass, while telling us additional stories of the canals and the country. This is a really wonderful way of experiencing the canals and the city of Amsterdam.

Very disappointing. We had one day in Amsterdam on a cruise and wanted to see as much as possible. We bought the day tickets for the hop on hop off boats as they offered two routes round the city. It wasn't until we got to the boarding stop at Central Station that we were told the orange route wasn't operating... More

We'd planned to visit a few attractions around the centre, and as we'd also planned to take a trip on the canal at some point, we thought the 1 day hop on hop off ticket would be a good call. The tickets for this company were a few euros cheaper than the company in the booth next door, so we... More

Loved seeing Amsterdam this way, a must-do! So easy to get around, we purchased a day pass and it took us to all the big attractions. There are two lines you can use with this ticket - the green and orange - which allowed us to get off and explore the areas around the Rijkmuseum, Anne Frank House, Dam Square... More

Don t take it as long as canal repairs are in progress. Lady was happy to sell us full price ticket at 3:45 even if she knew that the orange line will not be running the next day. Info came only once on the ship. Rip off. No refund apparently possible. Unacceptable. Totally not correct. You then have to ask... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the cruise you took with us. Unfortunately you did not have the best experience. I understand you bought a 24h ticket when one of the lines was not operating the usual schedule due to maintenance of the canals. Of course, our staff should have informed you about this. I'm very sorry to... More

We bought a 48 hours ticket which we thought was both good value and a good way of seeing Amsterdam. There are two lines which the canal cruise takes his is either the orange or green line, both are very relaxed and not crowded. By using the canal we got a good feel for places that we would lately go... More

Very nice romantic cruise through the canals of Amsterdam. We were served several cheeses and crackers and all the wine you could drink.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
