My wife (then girlfriend) and I loved it, on so many levels. Not only was our tour guide and organiser Alexandra extremely friendly and knowledgeable, showing my wife (who is an Amsterdammer herself) hidden gems in a city she thought she already knew, Alexandra also was instrumental in helping me propose my wife in marriage. We first thoroughly enjoyed the normal tour-including amongst others: meeting coffee shop and trinket shop owners as well as eating the most delicious apple pie. That on its own was great fun, despite the weather being rather grim. The main portion was followed by me surprising my girlfriend by introducing HER to the rest of the tour group and relating some of her life story (she’s a born and bred Amsterdammer hence the relevance) in the most honest brewery of the Netherlands, all of which Alexandra kindly facilitated and helped me with. The brewery even played our songs whilst I told the story. I then went on one knee and proposed, and she said yes!! Best day ever! Thank you Alexandra for an unforgettable day, your help and kindness will forever be remembered by the both of us. And just this week, we got married with a zoom wedding, despite the corona times!

Amsterdam has many misconceptions and stereotypes. This experience is a perfect way to go beyond those to discover a city's past and present. A wonderfully curated guide across central Amsterdam gives you an up close and personal connection to the city, its people and its way of life. Prepare to be outside for a reasonable amount of time (so dress up warm in the winter), but also prepare to really enjoy yourself from start to finish. Alexandra is a great host and her knowledge of the city is excellent - all with a personal touch that resonated with everyone in the group. I'm really not surprised this experience has a 5 star rating - but you should definitely find out the reason why for yourself - it will be well worth it.

This is the best human experience tour I've ever been apart of. Alexandra is an excellent guide and super knowledgeable. You get to meet everyday people and see things through their perspective. Definitely something everyone should experience in Amsterdam.

We booked a tour with Alexandra a few weeks in advance. We stopped over in Amsterdam for a day to visit our daughter and her boyfriend so timing was criteria for us as we only in Amsterdam for the day. The day before our tour the weather forecast looked terrible. Alexandra contacted us and offered another day due to the forecast. We had no other option as we were opted to go inspite of the weather. Wow what fun we had! Such an wide spectrum of interesting things we would never know about Amsterdam. Not just dates places and things, but life in Amsterdam and what it means to people of different walks of life. Ya sure it would be nice to walk around on a sunny day, but as they say in Holland there is no bad weather just bad clothing. We were out for 4 1/2 hours as we had a few extra warm ups along the way. What fun we had learning about Amsterdam and it's people. Worth the money for sure.
