Perfect private tour

This was literally the perfect private boat tour.

Jamie was an amazing host, giving us loads of interesting information about the city, but also giving us time to drank, drink our Prosecco and enjoy the experience.

Jamie is extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

Would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the city by boat and have the experience for just yourselves.

Fantastic cruise not to be missed!

Fantastic river cruise to see the canals and beautiful buildings of Amsterdam. Our tour guide Atilla was very friendly and shared many interesting facts about the history of the city and canals. The open top boat is comfortable and very quiet to cruise in due to the boat being electric. You get to see a lot in the 90minute cruise and it's very reasonably priced.

Excellent, Intimate Tour at a Great Value

Absolutely excellent tour with a wonderful, friendly captain.

We (myself, my mother & husband) went on the Amsterdam Light Festival tour. Captain Jaime shared great information, but also let us enjoy the lovely, peaceful canals by including quiet moments.

With COVID-19 restrictions, we had to go on the tour before it fell dark, but it didn't put a damper on the tour one bit! We were treated to a superb batch of gluehwein and drinks (all included in the price of the tour) as well as blankets and heated cushions. The boat was so quiet and comfortable; it isn't possible to replicate such a cosy experience on a larger boat, with a big company!

He answered all of our questions, and was happy to throw in extra information about Amsterdam architecture.

If you are interested in this tour, don't hesitate! Book it - you won't regret it! :)

The perfect boat tour

This was a great boat tour. The boat is the perfect size - comfortably takes 10-11 people, plus Joao the guide and Captain. Joao strikes the perfect balance between providing info, answering questions and just letting the beauty of Amsterdam speak for itself. We took the sunset tour - a real treat if you love light. The first half of the tour you have the setting sun bouncing off the water and buildings; the second half you see the illuminated bridges and street lights - really something to behold. As well as the main canals, Joao also took us into the smaller canals of the Jordaan - so much charm and character. The start point is easy to find and the 90 minute tour is the perfect length. I can't imagine a better boat tour. A wonderful way to appreciate this uniquely beautiful place.

Fun, engaging, and relaxing tour of the Amsterdam canals

Captain Maurits is from Amsterdam and clearly loves his city and loves even more to show it off and share it with others. He’s got a great sense of humor, never failed to have an answer to our questions, and took the time to show us the well-known places and the known-to-locals hidden gems. I picked Amsterdam Boat Adventures because of the longer tour length (90+ minutes) and the smaller tour size (12 people max) and it was absolutely the right decision. 15/10, I recommend!

Best canal tour

Lovely relaxed tour with an excellent Captain (Matius (please exclude my spelling of your name))
It was a silent electric boat with 12 passengers for 90 minutes. It felt personal, informative and relaxing. He was happy to answer any questions and was totally knowledgable. It was very slightly more than other yours I viewed but remember this is 90 minutes not an hour in a modern boat and was totally worth a euro or two more. Tip: they had a cool box bar with wine, beer and soft drinks that really were inexpensive.

INTIMATE INFORMATIVE WELL RUN TOUR

This tour was awesome. Small tour group, we had 8 people and you take on board you own drinks. Boat is electric so there is no boat noise which makes it feel more relaxing and easy to hear your guide. We did a night tour in late spring and it was extremely cold, but the A.B.A cater for this and provide blankets which was well utilised. Guide is extremely informative and personable. I'm happy to recommend this to anyone considering a canal tour in a small group.

Great canal trip and good value for money

Very relaxing and informative trip along the canals of Amsterdam with congenial host Captain Frederick. Highly recommend it as a way to see the city from a different perspective. Good value for money (the tour lasts 90minutes) and the electric boat is quiet and eco-friendly. Hope to do the evening tour on next visit.

Boat trip in Amsterdam

Good experience. The captain is very nice and take time to explain historic places.
The cruising speed is well suited and pleasant and the comfort of the boat is also present which is important.
