We rented a boat during an overnight layover in Amsterdam. This was the best way to experience the city with 3 young kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We spent almost 2 1/2 hours touring the canals and made a few stops along the way. The boat was easy and fun to operate and we had no issues navigating the canals. We will definitely do this again when we come back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience.

Excellent service!! Super nice boat, way bigger than expected. Easy to drive, great indications from the guys for route recommendations around the canals. I have rented boats in Amsterdam before and this is by far the best quality-price option. Totally recommended!!

We rented a boat for about three hours and I can guarantee this is the best way to visit the city from the ground up, because we could see the city and all its typical houses from the best view.
You can also stop the boat and buy food that you can eat on the boat, as we did. Obviously, the staff warned us not to leave the boat alone.
It is easy to drive, mostly when there is no traffic.
The staff is very nice and helpful. They gave us a map of the city's canals and all the informations we needed to make sure we had a very good and safe trip.
I suggest to book this experience in spring or summer, because the weather modifies the colours and the landscape.
Surely an experience I'd like to relive.

Going through the canals in the center of the city is beautiful! I live in Amsterdam and have been on small boats before (hold 12 or less), and this one is definitely one of my favorite small boats.
I went with friends but also brought my 8 month old son so wanted a boat where it wasn’t too low into the water with decently high sides for safety. This boat was perfect.
The price was also very good or better compared to other boat rentals. They had great service too! They provided a handy map of 1 way canals, etc and clear instructions on how to drive the boat.
They also provide life vests for children and babies if you need it!
Will definitely book again through them!

Nice boat, easy to ride, cushions available. Map provided. It was not easy to find which boat platform as the staff member was wearing a tracksuit with no branding or indication of him working from the company. He didn't give a thorough introduction and even forgot to give a lifejacket for my child. I had to remind him about this before we took off.
There was another electric boat company three boats away for 40€ cheaper. We paid 120€ for two hours which in hindsight was a lot of money. Do shop around carefully!

Took a boat on New Years Eve we were the last customers of 2022. It was amazing and weirdly we only encountered one other boat on the canals so felt like we had the city to ourselves.
These guys are great and really helped me out when I accidentally booked the boat for 10:00 instead of 16:00 (a fact I realised around 13:30 that day). They were super helpful and allowed us to move our booking without problems.

We rented a boat for 7 persons from 13.00 to 17.00. easy to navigate, 4 hours is enough time to go through the main canals and enjoy the view. Beware of bigger boats. You could give a few euros extra and get the bigger boat since it's more comfortable , it has back support. Worthy experience

If you're looking for a boat rental in Amsterdam, I would highly recommend Eco Boats Amsterdam. I've rented boats before but none have come close to this company regarding customer service and overall experience. In particular, Harun was very helpful and accomodating to our needs. Will be renting from here in the future.

The boat was clean and ready for departure. Comfortable cushions, clear instructions, map on board. The boat rental is very close to the Central Station, so easy to make an appointment with friends from inside or outside the city of Amsterdam. From Zandhoek you are within a few minutes on the Canals. The beauty of Amsterdam is all over. The boat is easy to steer, with no noise, no fumes, because they are electric. It makes it a wonderful way to see or show the city and to have conversations with your friends. We have rented several times with Eco boats and we will certainly come back.

Boats are ok. Nothing special. Rating decreased because: 1) location is not convenient. You lose about 20-30 min to get out/in the renting place by boat. I would suggest using the ones near Rijksmuseum to get better feeling of the city and not wasting time. I know Snoependolen. Their price higher by €5/hour. But worth it. Plus better boats. 2) Cushions and blankets are old. 3) service is average. When I was asking questions, the guy (young and bright) was not really willing to respond. Like “I dont care” 4) suggestion for the owner is to put some stick with which passengers can take out plastic from the motor. Luckily I did not need it. But when I asked they guy who was serving us, if they have it, he said “its your problem man, do it with your hand
