Geert’s tour was packed with interesting and useful information about Amsterdam’s past and present. He is funny, knowledgeable, and seems genuinely interested in the people he’s talking to. We enjoyed our tour and learned a lot.
Had an amazing tour with Geert on my last visit to Amsterdam! It was just under 3 hours, but it was so fun and informative, you barely notice the time flying by. Geert is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Amsterdam, and his enthusiasm is infections....More
We booked a spur of the moment red light district tour whilst visiting Amsterdam and were paired up with the lovely Geert! We could not have asked for a better tour guide! he was fun, informative and the highlight of our trip. We learnt so...More
We have gone on many free walking tours and had our share of good and bad experiences. Geert gave a great tour mixing history with current events as well as providing some great recommendations. We really appreciate when a tour guide sends you to a...More

Once again I was lucky enough to meet Geert on one of his tours. Everytime I come with friends to Amsterdam I make sure to take them to one of these tours. You can be assured you will not get bored and at the end...More
I would definitely recommend these tours, particularly if you’re only in Amsterdam for a weekend! We did ours on our first day and it gave us a great insight into the city’s history and pinpointed things we wanted to do later, whilst also showing us...More
The tour was good. Geert was our tour guide. He was a fun person to have around, his tour was not in a hurry and took time to explain everything. The recommendations given by him were damn good. Missed the RLA tour, but next time...More
We learnt a lot on the walking tour, not only of the sights, but of the history, culture, food and the Dutch way of life. Marcella was engaging, full of energy, insightful and in her own words a 'trivia buff' who kept us entertained, informed...More
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some
less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
