A lot of façades of the Amsterdam houses has statue and this building, too. But is it a statue of Neptunus? Where is his trident?

Residential building commissioned by fish merchant Saur in 1895. The building's facade is decorated with the S denoting the family name as well as the sea god Neptune. Detailed and eye pleasing work. Worth a lingering look.
