We had an amazing tour with Majel. Booking process is easy and we are lucky have a small group of friends Canoe together on King's Day. Location is easy to reach by public transit from Amsterdam. Don't be sacred if you look at your google map found out this location is far away from Amsterdam. In fact, it is only 20 mins bus ride from Amsterdam central station. It is a very cute Dutch town, if you want to get some local experience, get out of Amsterdam :) Majel shared a lot of the history of the land, we also learned about animal, birds, and why this area is protected. This is my first time canoeing but didn't take me that long to get used to it. Everyone can do it :)

I was lucky enough to enjoy this tour in Aug 2020. Total of 4 adventurers and the guide in total. 2 people per boat with plenty of space. The Guide took her own boat. The whole trip was really nice as you travel through a quaint little town before getting to the open waterway canals. Scenery was so calming and refreshing, perfect detox for any stress. The picnic was lovely with a tour guide that clearly loves what she does, has plenty of knowledge of the surroundings areas, processes of how the canals work, the wildlife and her enthusiasm was wonderful. Definite 5 Star

My partner and I had the best time ever on our canoe adventure with wetlands safari! We didn't know what to expect when booking it, but it turned out to be the best part of our holiday. We started off being met at the terminal by our guide, who took us (and paid for!) our bus to her beautiful house in a secluded village right on the water, where we had a cup of tea and some home made cookies (which were delicious!), then we took the canoes around the waterways through the village, into the European protected nature reserves with loads of wildlife - great for birdwatching - where we stopped for a picnic. The picnic was delicious, food for all preferences, including home grown tomatoes which were a particular favourite! Then we took the canoes further down the waterways to a seemingly private lake area where we swam (I'm usually nervous about natural swimming but our guide made it really easy and once we were in it was incredible). We ended the trip back at the house, with a beer in the warm sun- bliss! And then our guide took us (and again paid for!) Our bus back to the terminal. Will definitely be coming back, and recommending to our friends and family.
