There are bikes everywhere in Amsterdam! Join the population and get a tour of the city with an overview of history, the sights and learn why biking may be the best way to get around the city! You will get a feel for the layout of the city, the sights you may want to see in detail and the history... More

We enjoyed this tour; it was a nice introduction to cycling in Amsterdam, which is surely an essential part of visiting this city where the pushbike in king. Our guide was a local and very knowledgeable about the city and its environs, and we got to see parts of the city which we would not have otherwise. The bikes were... More

We did the country side tour. The tour was ok. The guide was not very informative and did not stop in places for pictures. It did rain during our tour so it was very cold. The Amsterdam country side is just amazing and beautiful and I would highly recommend to do it by yourself and not take the tour. It... More

Booked a 3 hours small group bike tour through Viator with Yellow Bike Tours in Amsterdam. Several groups were there but since we booked a small group tour for the 6 of us, there were only a total of 10 people on the tour. Took us all around Amsterdam--probably one of the best ways to see the city. Only problem... More

I'm a firm believer that the best way to experience Amsterdam is by renting bikes and riding out of the "touristy" areas (Such as the Jordaan area) and seeing how the locals live life. The tour itself though was a little below my expectation, most of the info given I've already read about but it did give you a better... More

We did the city bike tour and the group was quite big. The guide did the best he could in the rain but the bike I was riding had faulty breaks...it did not feel very safe. I would have rather done a walking tour of the city and a biking tour in the country side to avoid the possibility of... More

Sorry to hear that you felt unsafe using the hand brake in the rain. Hope you were aware of the fact that all our bicycles also have a coaster brake, these are always the safest way to brake, especially in rainy conditions. More

Yellow Bike Tours was great! They place you with a great tour guide that really knows what they're talking about. We had Anke on our tour. It was great. There were about 10-12 people per group but it didn't feel overwhelming. Anke did a great job of keeping the group together and well informed on what was going on in... More

Leaving at 1.30 we went all around the city checking out great neighborhoods you could miss. Your put into groups based on language. Our guide was great. Group was a little to big. 12 people. Tough for the group to stay together so kept stopping. Would recommend

I wanted to try cycling in Amsterdam as I felt I was missing out if I didn't, but I wasn't comfortable going alone so this seemed like a good way to start. I didn't prebook and turned up at about 10.15am for the two-hour city tour that started at half past. It was very busy, but they found a guide... More

A friend and I did the country side ride with frank as our guide and loved it. If you get a nice day weather wise I would highly recommend- the ride is easy and pleasant, the scenery is beautiful with a quaint and enjoyable lunch stop. We really liked seeing a windmill and fishing town. A different and beautiful side... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
