We immensely enjoyed our walking tour of Amsterdam from Kor. Learning about Amsterdam's diverse culture and colourful history made this city our favourite to visit during our trip in Europe. Kor was an incredible storyteller, cultural guide, historian and comedian all wrapped up as one authentic Dutchman. Would recommend 100%!

We walk through Ámsterdam city with Aix, a great expert guide, who knows and offers her knowledge to the group with liveliness and friendliness. It's not frequent an experience like that we live. I recommend this tour: 3 very pleasant hours. Don't miss this tour!!! And if Aix were there, it would be splendid!!

After a reallly nice tour in Brussels with Fraser, we couldn't miss this one in Amsterdam. It covered the basics about the History, architecture, laws, things to do or avoid. We visited a lot of places, neighborhood... Julian really made it interesting, funny, and alive!

The tour was very complete and Aix took her time to point out alot of great historical facts about Amsterdam. She and the other guides we met (briefly) were really cool and fun, helps when you are walking for 3 hours under the sun. Never a dull moment. Thanks again.

Our tour guide was Sam and he was absolutely brilliant! Gave wonderful recommendations about places to go and things to see after the tour had ended- leading us to find wonderful cultural foods! The tour took us to all the places we wanted it to and gave such a rich history of the beautiful city. It was exactly what we... More

My boyfriend and I went on a free 3 hour long tour of Amsterdam with our magnificent and charismatic guide - Axel. I had actually been on this exact tour 5 years ago and in my experience, this is one to remember! It was by far one of the best tours I've been on worldwide. Not only was Axel very... More

I did the 10.30am tour this morning and was really impressed by it. Our tour guide, katjalisa, is a funny, knowledgable and engaging host. Despite being her last tour before leaving she gave a great performance with lots of energy. The tour gives a good feel of the city with lots of interesting facts. It's fab that it's free but... Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
