Simon Levèlt Koffee and Thee
Mar 2018 • Couples
We stumbled on this place when heading to a another location in the city and it was a welcome surprise. We subsequently learned that there are a number of shops in the Netherlands so far from niche but great coffee and teas and various other related accoutrements. We bought some glass coffee mugs and as visitors he quickly sought out a box for us to get them home in one piece.

I would recommend a visit if you love coffee and tea and/or fancy some nice cups tea pots, etc. Reasonably priced and the staff member was very helpful.

Nice place

The shop looks pretty from the inside. The prices are average (around 4-5 euros per 100 grams of tea). The collection is interesting, but it’s basically just a variation of classic teas, you cannot find anything exotic. Like they would have 5 kinds of earl gray, but not anything unusual. Staff is friendly, though not that helpful with recommendations.

A nice place to stop for a drink or restroom. Note: The only way to use restrooms in the Netherlands is to buy something! Not much in public restrooms, Also if you want water you buy it.

Enough Choices
Feb 2017 • Solo
The neat tight display in the shop attracted me to come inside. Very kind staff who helps you finding a gift. There is a lot of choices of tea, coffee, all the accessory for making tea or coffee and of course something sweet to drink with such as chocolate etc. If you´re a tea drinker, this is the place.

Once again I had the delightful pleasure of purchasing Ethiopian coffee and rare Darjeeling tea from Simon Levelt. Only this time, I was in Den Haag and stumbled upon their store in The Passage. The woman who greeted us was charming, informed, efficient. And the products delicious!

Excellent coffee, tea and gifts

Lovely smell when entering the Simon Lévelt shop. It is the smell of freshly ground coffee. You can choose from more than 20 different kinds of coffee beans. I find it hard to decide, but the staff is very helpfull and has a lot of knowledge about coffee... And about tea! There are over 200 different teas: from oolong, black, green and white tea, to flavoured teas and herbal blends. I love to get lost smelling all these wonderfull teas.

Besides coffee and tea they have different sweets and really good chocolate. I like to spoil myself or a friend with a box of chocolates. The mugs, coffee and tea gadgets are also nice to give as a present and the staff wraps it beautifully.
