The tour took you through a museum with video presentations and onto the production area. The guide showed us the way items are manufactured and created in their production methods.
The end of course takes you to a salesroom where you can have small items to very large items to spend money on.
We enjoyed it and found it very informative.

The Royal Delft Experience consists of an two different, short videos on the history of the company, a self-guided tour through a small museum and finishes with the ability to stroll through the production facility watching the craftsmen at work. At the end of the tour you finish in the gift shop where they have items fitting any price range for sale.

Loved visiting the factory and seeing how intricate the art and details are that go into making this pottery. I was included in a special group visit that arranged an hour or so for us to paint our own windmill on a piece of tile/pottery using the actual tools and paint that the artists use. It is quite difficult, but had loads of fun anyway! We got to take our framed tile home with us! A stop in the shop was a must to pick up my gifts and genuine pottery pieces. The shop has both types of pottery -- the manufactured ones and the hand-painted items. I enjoyed this tour very much.

Traveled to Delft by Intercity train from Amsterdam (which was ease to do) A transfer buggy can take you to the Delft factory experience for 2euros return from the central tourist office. You are provided with personal taped commentary, which you activate, You hear and see the history of the company with many fine examples of their work past and present. finishing with a shop and a good tearoom overlooking a small but well kept garden.

Started with a video tour until we see how production lines go with making porcelain. They can ship everything overseas. But it is not going to be cheap. Very expensive, and I can understand.

Stumbled upon this place. Spent some time walking around the stalls. Found a great place that sold the most amazing brownies, and the bloke happened to be an expat from the US. That was truly the highlight for us.

A really well put together museum. History of the famous royal delft blue pottery. Brilliant opening video and further audio visuals at he start of the self guided audio tour. A full explanation of the history of the company and how it has changed through the centuries. Many very high quality pottery items on display, some on loan from the royal family. A short tour of the working factory was fantastic, especially seeing the craftsman at work painting the items. A large proportion of heir collection is still hand painted. Don’t forget to visit the shop with items for all wallet sizes. The cafe sells tea, coffee, snacks and light lunches in/on delicate delft pottery.

We took the train from Den Haag to Delft for a day trip, and my wife wanted to visit Royal Delft. The walk from the city centre was enjoyable but a bit longer than what we were led to believe after receiving a brochure at our hotel. In addition, when we arrived, we couldn't find the entrance and ended up walking around the block to eventually find it.

We did not realise that the tour also had a fee, as this was not listed or indicated on the brochure, so this was a little annoying. However, the tour (with a fancy audio guide) was educational and we enjoyed the experience.

We arrived via the "Tours & Tickets -Delft and The Hague" afternoon trip. The Royal Delft is what it is ... not exciting, just well done ceramics. I would not go out of my way to see this and could easily sleep at night missing it completely.
