We went there late afternoon, we purchased the tickets online but while we were outside the building, this option is cheaper, also you can enter until late there but the tickets office is closed earlier, so plan before you go at night. To get there, take the FREE ferry from Centraal Station to Builsloterweg, both piers are in front of each other so it only takes 5 minutes to cross the IJ river. From the pier you will see the building so just walk over there. If you are looking for the 'I amsterdam" sign is not there, so not bother looking for it (it is in the Airport as September 2021). You can get there early and seat around the Eye Filmuseum for a while to enjoy the views, you can even have a beer there and relax for a little bit before enter the A'DAM building. There is an Albert Heijn (minimarket) in the rear block of the A'DAM building where you can get beer or something else at very reasonable prices. I suggest you go up during daylight. Take the picture at the entry, it really is free, you can get it from their website later, or buy the hard copy while leaving the building. When entering the elevator, have you camera ready, there is a show of lights you can see through the crystal celling of the elevator (lift). I think the morning hours might be better for pictures since the sun would be behind you, but we got amazing pictures of the afternoon and sunset, but if you are more interested in being seen in the picture this might not be the best time, with the sun in front of you people will look a little darker. We have a couple of beers and wine while there (after we took tons of pictures) and sat just to enjoying the view until the sun was out. Pictures at night also were amazing. Take a sweeter there if planning on staying at night, it was a hot day wen we went and up there at night the wing make it cold.

The views from the top of the A'DAM tower are spectacular and I would recommend the minimum package to get to the top just to see Amsterdam from above.
I purchased the package for a swing and two drinks with Contiki and it was well worth it. The swing is a little short but the thrill is there. The drinks were a bit pricey but as it was included in the package we did not mind.
The atmosphere in the bar below the observation deck is chill and was the perfect way to wind down after a busy weekend enjoying what Amsterdam had to offer.

Did a rock the city tour - included Heineken experience, canal boat from outside Heineken experience to A’DAM lookout and entrance to lookout for €35pp.
We enjoyed our visit to A’DAM lookout, elevator ride to top is cool,
We didn’t opt to do swing €5 each, not sure I could’ve stomached it. Fantastic views of the city from the 360° panorama skydeck with great photo opportunities plus large red ADAM sign outside.
We visited the sky bar & restaurant and can recommend the burger €8 and club sandwich around €8 - accept card.
There was a dj playing, very cool to sit and look at city from, whether your enjoying food/drinks. Can get free ferry each way - takes you by central station.
Highly recommend a visit to lookout.

The A'DAM lookout is basically a viewing platform at the top of a converted office block with the addition of a bar and restaurant. There are also a couple of other paid for attractions at the top such as the 'Over The Edge Swing' which is good fun.

You can spend as long as you like on the viewing platform and there are great views of all Amsterdam (although sadly a new, taller tower block is being built next to it meaning views from one side are now completely obscured).

You can pre-book drinks and food for a slight advance discount. We pre-booked drinks however it took ages to get served at the bar as there seemed to be a lack of staff and even then the staff member couldn't get anything right and was rather grumpy.

We had also paid extra for the swing ride but when we arrived for our allocated slot, the queue was huge as not all swings were running. As we had other places to be later in the day, we asked how long the queue might take and we were abruptly told "I don't know". Not great customer service.

We had combined the visit with the 'This is Holland' attracted which was great which probably helped make the visit more fun. If we had just done the Lookout, I don't think we would have felt quite so upbeat about it.

At the end of the day you are paying for a view from a tower block with everything else available as paid for extras. If customer service isn't great, it does feel as if it's not the best experience however overall, it was a nice thing to do, especially as the sun came out and it was very pleasant wandering round looking at views.

We went in the late afternoon for the view and the swing and we took advantage of the Menu Deal from the website. The experience is nice and the swing is quite cool, although it lasts around 2 minutes only. The staff at the lookout is nice and helpful, I wish I could say the same for the restaurant. The restaurant is not well managed, there were dirty tables everywhere (in a COVID pandemic) and we had to ask twice to someone to clean our table. Also the staff pretends not to see you and it is not well explained that is a almost-self-service formula, so you have to go, order and pick up your own drinks and food. A bit striking since they were clearly overstaffed and there was staff chatting everywhere. The food is fine, nothing exciting, which is a bit disappointing since it could compliment the view, but it does not. I would recommend to go and enjoy a nice beer and the view but do not dine in, you can easily find a better burger "on the ground" for the same price.

We bought online tickets for the swing and a kind of a videogame experience. We chose the 09.00 PM option and paid the same amoun as for any other time slot. When we arrived there, firts we had to go up through the exit (the entry was closed even though the tower closes at 10.00PM) and the videogame thing was already closed too (we had paid for it). At the swing, everybody is taken a picture that is included in the price, but they told us that as it was dark at night they couldn't take any pic... so, in summary, we paid 45€ (the same amount other people pay for morning and afternoon time slots) but we only got literally 2 minutes on the swing, with no pic, no videogame experience, etc. I would deeply recommend the organization to explain on their webpage that there are big differences depending on the time chosen (and to offer different fares depending on it)

Thanks for your feedback Sarar and I'm sorry about your experience. On our website it's written that the last entry is at 9pm, as we closed at 10 pm. Unfortunately we don't take photos when it's dark, as the visibility and quality is very bad. This is also written in the frequently asked questions on our website, but we appreciate your feedback on making this even more clear.

We bought the tickets to the top of the lookout that included 2 free drinks tokens and then the swing seat tickets on top of that. It costs a reasonable amount anyway, so we’d recommend getting the drinks tokens so that you spend longer up there. The swing was great fun however and definitely something you should do! The views were lovely and it was pretty quiet on top of the building, which was surprising!

Visited A’Dam lookout for the “lookout swing”. We were running late however the team were very understanding and let us through.

We went up the lift which showed a cool short light show though the glass roof of the lift. We then queued for a short while for the swing which had some amazing views!! So worth it! Just beware if you are scared of heights you might feel slightly on edge!

We then grabbed a drink which are extremely overpriced, €6 for a can of red bull, around €10-€12 for a alcoholic drink from a plastic cup, however the views were so worth the trip!

To get there, we did grab an uber from Damrak as we were running late, it was quite a loop trip and cost €15. We returned back to Centraal station by catching the free ferry which is a 2 min walk from A’Dam lookout, it took 5 mins and brought us to the other side of the station. Definitely go by foot & take the free ferry there it will be cheaper and quicker!

We visited this attraction which was well priced. We went early so had plenty of time to admire the views however there was a thick layer of fog which covered a lot of the city. The swing was an experience for daredevils which I am not, the fog made it easier for me as I could not see how high I was..... I wish it had been a clear day as the experience would have been even better.

I attended the A’DAM lookout yesterday, after pre-booking tickets for myself and a friend.
The premium tickets I purchased allowed us to have one cocktail each in exchange for the tokens I was given at the entrance.
The cocktails were lovely, and well worth the extra £6 each.
The experience started with great visuals, in the elevator, which was exaggerated once we reached the top of the building.
For £5 a swing ticket can be purchased, which I was happy to pay for such an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended for people who like an adrenaline rush.

Overall the experience was very good.

Free ferries run from the centraal station, and the A’DAM building is only a minute walk from the dock.
