Delightful museum filled with mostly modern paintings. Some other types of art which were also captivating. The building itself is spacious and has an interesting layout. Expect to spend between 1.5 and 2.5 hours here.

With some prestigious modern art museums in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, it’s sometimes forgotten that there’s more out there.
One of my most favorite Modern Art places in Europe is “De Pont”.
Aside excellent regular exhibitions the museum has an amazing atmosphere and is very spacious with some extraordinary pieces of Anish Kapoor.
So if you are interested in Modern Art, take the time to visit this “Gem”.

Although I'm not a connoisseur of modern or abstract art, I love De Pont. Exhibitions are usually daring and exciting and sometimes just relaxing to experience. Last time I was there the theme seemed to be light and/or colours and the artwork by Ann Veronica Jansen (?) was amazing. I'll definitely visit again.

To be honest you'd have to be a real hard core lover of abstract or modern art to enjoy this one. If you are, then this will be a sort of heaven for you. If you're not I really wouldn't bother going. We got in for free, but if I'd paid full price I would not have been happy.

Some of the exhibits have technical skill and some of the abstract paintings are pleasing enough to look at, but the majority just make you feel foolish for standing and looking at them in the first place. And why oh why do they need so much space to be displayed?

But, as I said: to each his own, it's just not for me.

Joy of on a rainy, miserable day finding a gallery space which amuses, with exhibits that entertain, provoke and delight. Excellent value for entry price. Made 1st visit to Tilburg memorable.

I have been here twice and I enjoy that both times have been different. They obviously have different artist showcase their collections during different times which I enjoy. It sometimes includes small drafts to the canvas that it became.
They have small rooms with small paintings and in the center, they could have sculptures, videos, photography to paintings.
They also have a small cafe inside which is a nice finish.
Enjoy!

My wife and myself often tour Europe to visit contemporary art exhibitions and museums.
We had never been to De Pont at Tilburg.
We did it this morning and were surprised by both the quality of the collection and the scenography and design chosen to present each piece of art in the most appropriate way.
I advise you to pay a visit to the museum website prior to your visit to prepare it properly.
