It wasn't easy to find this place and I expected something else. It looked more like a lunchroom than a restaurant. More like a place where students eat. I had a pastrami which was delicious. The interior you like or dislike. It wasn't my cup of tea.

For 30 EUR, you get excellent food and nice evening experience. A little detail that I really liked but has nothing to do with food, is that at the toilet they have super nicely smelling cosmetics, that you can also directly buy there. The waiters are also extremely helpful and the place was almost empty on Thursday evening. I only think that a glass of wine for 5 EUR is a little bit too pricy, but our overall experience was only positive.

Really cool industrial environment all around. Available toys for kids, really neat place, quick service, nice beers, calm and quiet place to seat outside and easily reachable either by bike or by car. Highly recomendable.

Fascinating surroundings and clearly popular with locals. The restaurant's lunch menu centres on soups, open sandwiches, pancakes and burgers but is none the worse for that. I had an absolutely excellent open sandwich of black pudding, baked apple and balsamic/honey glaze. Excellent!

On the former industrial area Strijp S you find in the former factory buildings the workplace, studio/showroom and shop of Piet Eek, known for his designs with scrap wood. There is also a Gallery and a restaurant.
Entrance fee free are showroom, gallery, shop and (of course) restaurant.
It's nice and interesting to stroll around the showroom and see what's created of scrap wood. It is a matter of taste, and many of the same.
But seen his success over the years, it appeals to a lot of people. Prices of the furniture are not affordable for every budget.
The shop offers a lot of different things; some of Piet Hein Eek, but among others jewelery, garden utensils, stationery, textile, household utensils and gadgets and toys for kids, all very trendy.
The gallery has changing exhibitions.

I really like the nostalgia of this place. I love sitting in one of the up-cycled sofas having a Dutch "koffie verkeerd" with apple cake.
I haven't had lunch here, but the food looked quite appetising. Why not walk around the place afterwards?

Nice atmosphere, you can walk around. Prices are to high but than your miles may dive.r The restaurant is not bad, but service is slow and here the prices are in comparison with the food high.
All in all worth to visit, thanks to the creative atmosphere . . . .

It's worth it to visit the Piet Hein Eek area. You ca walk around and taste the creative atmosphere. The shop is nice and full of nice stuff but far to expensive. The cafe/restaurant is also a special place to visit but the food is very average and expensive as well. Also service is not very quick and helpful.

The items made here are all from recycled wood. The designs are fresh and modern, with a very reasonable price.
